The Hornets and the Pistons have a big brawl. It wasn't exactly Malice at the Palace, but a bunch of guys are going to get suspensions
The look on Duncan Robinson's face says it all, neither of these teams could afford something like this, stupid that they couldn't focus on the big picture
-
No surprise that Isaiah Stewart was involved. He’s overdue for a crash out.
Bridges, Moussa and Beef Stew definitely will get suspensions.
I don’t think Duren did anything to warrant suspension.
-
i love watching these stretched out motherfuckers try and fight. Throwing them long hands is not easy.
Let the boys biff!!
Beef Stew came off the bench, he's getting heaps.
-
actually the suspensions weren't that bad
-
Spurs released Sochan over night.

CP3 is done

One of the great point guards, he was the centre piece of lob city. As a Lakers fan, I will wonder what might have been if David Silver hadn't blocked his trade to LAL. The type of guy home fans love, chippy and sneaky against opposition teams (he had a mean groin punch).

Gets heaps of hate (where is @act-crusader anyway)
But has been a huge floor raiser for young teams the last few years. Gifted player.
Sad he never got that ring, but hey, not everyone does. -

Mark Cuban with a pretty bold tweet today.
What he essentially articulates (or what he implies without saying so necessarily) is that the NBA is primarily an entertainment product rather than a competitive sporting thing and that the NBA regular season is completely pointless other than being a venue to take your kids for a few hours to eat popcorn.
He says no-one remembers the scores of the games they watch and that tanking is not really a big deal.
Maybe he is just saying the quiet part out loud and just stating what everyone already thinks but what it's a pretty astonishing admission for an owner/former owner to make.

Or when he was with my team (Houston Rockets), 2018 Conference semis vs Warriors, Game 5 CP3 goes down with a hammy. Rockets are up 3-2 with home court advantage. KD and Steph lead Warriors go on to win the NBA Finals against LeBron's Cavs.

he's right.
The season really starts this week after the fuck around of the All Star break.

I don't see the big deal, the only way for teams to make transformational change is to draft generational players (and do a good job with them). The data on championship teams not having a player who is (or has been) an MVP shows that you must have one of the best players in the league to be the best. Add in small market teams with no other revenue streams (compare the TV money of the Lakers and Memphis, as Windy is always going on about) and it's not like there are many things to do as a small market team in a shit location.
Personally, I want the Mavs to tank fucking hard and don't give a fuck about this season's results.
-
yeah i don't have a problem with tanking (gambling companies do).
I have a bigger problem with "load management" and tiered pricing. Though not personally as i don't attend games.

Sorry mate but Dallas have only got themselves to blame for the shit they find themselves in. The already got Flagg, another top 5 pick would be a reward for ownership and managerial incompetence

If I was going to the US to pay to watch a game I wouldn't be happy with seeing all of my favourite stars in street clothes.

he's talking rubbish and he know's it
the reason he sold out his control of the mavs was because he wanted to build a casino
there are fans, and then there's GAMBLING
cant have teams playing silly buggers on the court when folks are putting money on the game -

Oh fuck off, they are just trying to do what the Spurs just did, and dig themselves out the mess that the last incompetent fucker put us in.

haha
I don't think so
the mavs actually already had quite a good team, AND BLEW IT UP
cuban says some dumb shit, but it is just words, he actually did quite a good job at the mavs when he was the one calling the shots
the new controllers seem to have made a bit of a mess
