Btw, is their any truth to the rumour that the guy cast as Han Solo is such a shit actor that they had to call in an acting coach?
That was one of the rumours, but the whole thing sounds like a shit show.
They hired directors known for improvising on set and got annoyed when they went off script. That said, some of leaks said it felt like an Ace Ventura film. Yikes.
Warren Beauty has had good things to say about the guy as an actor for the film he did with him. But maybe he’s been miscast?
Seems like a pointless movie to me. We had a young Han Solo film already, it was called A New Hope.
I can handle some of my favourite film series going to shit ( Jaws, Alien, Bond, Indiana Jones )......
I would go fucken postal if Star Wars released a truly bad flick.

Some Pics of new stuff revealed at Star Wars show
A huge new AT-AT - redesigned so little speeders with cables can't take it down. Called a AT-M6 (All Terrain Mega Calibre 6)
and Star Destroyers are getting upsized as well. This Dreadnought Mandator IV-class warship is bigger than a Super Star Destroyer and has a big mutherfocker gun on it.

I think one of the main gripes about TFA will raise it's head yet again with TLJ being a partial re-run of ESB.
They had the launch of a lot of the merch for the upcoming movie the other night and there is apparently a lot of snow/ice related stuff. That's Hoth covered and with Luke training Rey like Yoda training Luke and the possibility of a big parental reveal we are heading into familiar territory.
Hopefully SW IX has the equivalent of bikini Leia though. -

I guess they have to weigh up a chance to direct the best franchise in cinema history vs the hate that comes their way if they fuck it up. Even Lucas isn't immune, it started with the Ewoks and was confirmed with Jar Jar.

I like the hard nose approach of not fucking around, remember they took the movie off of the Rogue One guy too and re did the final act.
But hopefully they are getting better at picking directors. Oh, they fired that Josh Trank Fantastic Four guy too, and canned the Boba Fett movie.
That’s four directors basically screwed over.
