Speaking of scrums, has anyone seen a scrum win against the feed now they can feed into the second row under their hooker's feet..?

I saw a scrum reset because the hooker was so contorted trying to scrum with a leg in the middle that his side could get no power on. The ball got stuck in the second row.
I believe the top refs have tried to emphasise a straight put in if the foot is up.
Does eem crazy to allow foot up.
Trying to avoid the times when the ball is sitting in the tunnel going nowhere because no one can hook under pressure I guess.

plenty of scrums the ball does go down the centre and just sit there as there is no strike as both teams are so even matched they seem to be afraid of striking and losing a bit of power and the scrum

I'm happy to see two packs at it like that. The pain in their legs. Means when the ball comes out for a phase or two there's more room.

Should a team lose two props to injury and one more to a yellow or red card, they will then be forced to play with 13 players.

    This seems like overkill ...

This new law would make Dave Rennie bloody angry if he was still a Super coach.

@no-quarter maybe thats why he left?

Although TBF, wasnt it the accusations of manipulating the uncontested scrums rule that made him bloody angry, not the uncontested scrums?

Its a time zone thing. You live in an area where the timezone varies from hours to years behind the civilised world and sometimes that makes it difficult to keep up.

Aren't Aus teams starting this weekend? The directive from Cameron Clyne, is to target one NZ scalp this season.

Each? Or is that a combined KPI?

1/25 would be miles better than last season's clean sweep, so I can only assume it's a combined KPI, will need to clarify over Twitter.

looking at that Chiefs roster, not only could i not pick the vast majority of them out of a line-up, i don't even know roughly what positions they play.

Any chance someone could pick out a best 23 for me?

@kiwimurph cheers. it appears we are fucked. Messam is still in our best loosie mix, in his 2nd position (love you Liam, you my boy, but you should be in that veteran mentor role now). TNW is a starter? at FB? Dmac is out 10? shiiiiit

Good tight 5 though, if Harris learns to hit a lineout.

@mariner4life actually I think TNW is out with an injury he picked up at the 10s so scratch that.

I'd expect Luke Jacobson (6/8) to work his way into the starting loose forward mix sooner rather than later - he is from NZ U20s and very promising but he'll probably be eased in like most youngsters.
