    Some good news:

    Star Trek: Discovery's showrunners fired.

    Better news:

New shows considered, including a Patrick Stewart series.

    Oh no:

The potential new shows are said to include: A series set at Starfleet Academy from creators Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz. The duo most recently developed the CW’s reboot of “Dynasty” and previously created shows like “Gossip Girl” and Hulu and Marvel’s “Runaways.”

Maybe they should let Quentin make a Star Wars movie. Of course it has to be a Mace Windu movie!!

It’s not as good as you think, the show runners were fired because of how they were treating the staff. And the guy now in charge is the one who conceived the whole thing.

So it shouldn’t be much different, unless you work there 🙂

I’m very worried about how they are going to handle Spock. He’s been confirmed for season 2.

Well, killing off the main character is the only way the show could possibly be redeemed. Maybe season 3 won't be absolutely awful!

I doubt I'll watch the second season. Will watch The Orville though, despite Seth McFarlane.

It's Star Trek, how would redeeming it be possible?

@nepia Critics (e.g. Zack Handlen at the AV Club) who followed it over the season regarded it as a poorly written mess.

    It's shit.

How can it be poorly written? Find new planet. Kirk has sex with scantily clad inhabitant. Scotty finds more power. Klingons get defeated. It's logical.

The new one is better than Voyager and DS9 at least.

    Too easy 🙂

That said DS9 is pretty meh. But back to Discovery, how do they have the Enterprise, Pike and Spock and not leave people wanting to watch that show instead?
