How long till there’s a twitter meltdown over what she said?
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=12188053
Outstanding advice for wives out there. I don't think I will forward the article to mine tho......
I've heard this before from the previous generation. Having been on both sides of 'not in the mood' in long term relationships and how destructive it can be I think it is advice actually worth taking seriously. As I think TR was trying to explain often just getting started is enough to change the 'not in the mood' dynamic. Doesn't have to be a full-on session or anything but surely most of the time you can take a little bit of time to help your partner 'scratch an itch' even if you're not up for the reciprocity. Obviously if your partner is a fluffybunny it can be taken too far but if you're in a healthy relationship why the hell not?
edit - I mean 'fluffybunny' as in the pejorative not literally

Totally agree, although I never really grew out of the horny teenager stage and, unless sick or injured, will never refuse horizontal refreshment. Never a good sign if it becomes too much of an effort. Also not exactly good for the other person's self-esteem if you'd prefer to watch TV or sleep.

Judging by another thread on this forum you are far from alone there.

@canefan Not sure how having sex when you don't feel like it is 'outstanding advice'. Women - and men - are allowed to be not in the mood, and sex as a chore is what kills it.
Agree, however I think she has simply overstated the mantra of 'make an effort' (works both ways)

Think there might be more to this than stuff is telling us.
A couple with a 7 year track record of always paying rent on time, and leaving the house in an excellent state and hence strong references, won't find an issue with finding a suitable accommodation for 6 people to rent.
The story isn't complete.

I don't know. Considering most of those posters are married with kids, they probably get less action than a gelded colt. It's pure desperation.

Yeah I was on the fence about the whole mentally disturbed thing after she said she wanted to make sushi out of his internal organs . Good to see the experts are on top of it though.

Yeah, the insane typically have high sex drives so you could probably have a quickie at half time if you got a pre match bonk in .

Well I wouldn’t go there but Magpie seems quite taken with her. Obviously he should stock up on tasty pets before it gets serious.

@jegga and a knife in your chest at full time.
I had an ex that threatened to steal my golf clubs cos I cared more about them than her...
My mates ex referred to him as her fiancée to her friends which was news to him as he hadn’t proposed , was very awkward when they stayed with her folks over Xmas and they wanted to help out with the wedding bills and talk dates.
She also poisoned him once and stole his car , for a few hours .
