Anyway, Akira is getting all the attention again and he didn't deserve it (in a good or a bad way). He didn't do anything significant, apart from one good carry that almost lead to a try. He was okay.
Nankivell is full of promise. I hope he can kick on, because he's fun to watch. Also like the look of Walker-Leawere; can't wait to see him play for us in Mitre 10 Cup.
It's a pity that a guy like Franklin is leaving NZ. Way too soon IMO.
Black had a better game then last week. Some good kicking in this game.Liked the Maori U20s game more. Some good upcoming talent.

@KiwiMurph Not being penalised for being involved in niggles, doesn't make his behaviour right. It just means that he didn't cross a line drawn by the ref; difference between being an idiot and being a big idiot.
@Stargazer you’re off the mark tonight. Akira didn’t do anything in that scuffle. Fiji scored and some hothead wearing a white shirt decided to shove Akira after it. Then a scrum of players ensued.
Where were the posts quickly condemning the Fijian player???

@ACT-Crusader I wasn't the one saying he did do anything wrong in that scuffle. You're confusing me with someone else. (It was Walker-Leawere who got shoved, by the way)

@ACT-Crusader Because I was responding to other people's comments that referred to the reasons for his non-selection! I think you need to read back in the thread what I actually was commenting on to understand why I said what I said. I'm not going to repeat it.

I thought the discussion was about the earlier incident up the field after the whistle had gone.
Douglas didn’t exactly look pleased with Akira carrying on well after the ref had told them all to stop. -

I’ve read the thread so no need to throw the toys.
It just seemed a bit silly the commenting about Akira given he fronted as did many of the Maori players who were completely outplayed a week ago.
Forwards really stepped up and I thought the bench were a big reason for that.
