Great pasta crab dish tonight. Sweat some shallots, garlic and chilli (not too hot, need to taste the crab). Season add white wine and reduce. Prepare the spaghetti. Add lime juice and white crab meat to the mix and then combine with the pasta. Finish with more lime juice and chopped parsley. Easy, quick and really good.

I know that brown crab meat has more flavour but it just does not work in this dish. I don’t normally add Parmesan to seafood pasta but this is an exception.

No pictures as I ate it too quickly. But it does look good too.

Did you crack all the meat yourself or can you buy it ready to go over your way? Sounds super even if labour intensive.

I make a similar dish with tuatuas here. Don't use white wine though, rocking it old school Italian.

I read this as using "Tuataras" which seemed an odd thing to admit to on the internet...

@canefan A type of clam? That could work. Sort of like spaghetti vongole? If so I’ve tried cooking that many times with varying success. None of it anywhere near as good as in a back street restaurant in Venice. Incredibly cheap too.

Yes, tua tuas are like a large pipi.

This is the method I have based mine on, the method starts at 15 minutes in but it is a great show anyway, food porn par excellence

I buy from them all the time. The fish is fresh and well priced. The tua tuas are amazing, biggest I've ever seen

Had a big pick of the plants this morning. Habaneros, Rocotos, Jalapeños, long reds and one I have no idea of.

On to smoke and dry out all day.

Prawn, chives, garlic, ginger, with some veggie ones subbing the prawn for mushroom. Mixed the prawns with soy, oyster sauce and sesame sauce inside, then dunked in soy and chilli oil afterwards

    Mmmmmmm

Because sometimes you need a lockdown treat. Benedictine affagato. No better affagato
