Not thinking about living there again (it's not an option anyway) just a decent visit and tour around

Sick of the tropical summer might have something to do with it

Sydney has decided it wants to be like Palmy and is raining like a mofo. Was lovely down in Melbourne though. I would have stayed the weekend if I didn't have a concert to go to - which was postponed due to the weather anyway.

But, I'm like you, I just want to be able to visit. I usually go twice a year, just felt weird not going back last year. I also have some land shit I need to sort out which will be easier if I'm actually over there.

Also, lots of my mates have been doing awesome holiday trips around NZ and sending me pics. That's been tough to take. What's interesting is that they seem to be going a level up from their usual style (4 /5 instead of 3 star hotels/air bnbs/high end restaurants rather than medium term) as I guess they're saving on international flights etc.

@majorrage managed something similar the other night when I caught Alien on tv after the kids and missus had crashed out.

Nicely oiled now and turned on the tv ... saw the opening credits to .....The Terminator.

    Great evening!

Whilst we’re all pleased to see you happy and content, this is bordering on gloating.

I refuse to believe Sydney has all of a sudden become landlocked, boring, flat, windy, rife with STDs and full of boy racing dipshits with feral haircuts overnight.

It is raining a fucking lot tho. Our Rugby preseason games got called off so we headed to the pub.

Nicely sauced now, and did some casual flirting with a woman in my age bracket, who reciprocated. So feeling better generally than I was before I left.

It's always had those ... you clearly only spent time over the Bridge back in the day.

And it isn't cold there - it is wonderfully mild.

Sounds like you'd love Finland then. That's what a Finn might say (without the superlatives, probably).

I suspect the partner is reading these posts because Friday and the weekend were 👌. Makes a huge difference to me. We men are such simple creatures and rather easy to keep happy. It really makes no sense to me why this is such a big issue and being more intimate is considered hard. It’s certainly more fun than working or stressing over unimportant crap.

In that situation, I would suggest my partner is NOT reading these posts at all. If she had, the drought would only extend...

It’s just so ridiculous. What would it honestly cost her just to give you 2 minutes (if that😜) of her time a couple of times a week? How that gets twisted into you being the one at fault is one of the mysteries of the universe. But it seems many (most?) men have been there.

I must say last year was particularly bad. This year feels much more chilled
