It is raining a fucking lot tho. Our Rugby preseason games got called off so we headed to the pub.

Nicely sauced now, and did some casual flirting with a woman in my age bracket, who reciprocated. So feeling better generally than I was before I left.

Not thinking about living there again (it's not an option anyway) just a decent visit and tour around

Sick of the tropical summer might have something to do with it

Sydney has decided it wants to be like Palmy and is raining like a mofo. Was lovely down in Melbourne though. I would have stayed the weekend if I didn't have a concert to go to - which was postponed due to the weather anyway.

But, I'm like you, I just want to be able to visit. I usually go twice a year, just felt weird not going back last year. I also have some land shit I need to sort out which will be easier if I'm actually over there.

Also, lots of my mates have been doing awesome holiday trips around NZ and sending me pics. That's been tough to take. What's interesting is that they seem to be going a level up from their usual style (4 /5 instead of 3 star hotels/air bnbs/high end restaurants rather than medium term) as I guess they're saving on international flights etc.

Don’t you ever insult Sydney like that again

Are in Sydney right now? The insult fits.

I refuse to believe Sydney has all of a sudden become landlocked, boring, flat, windy, rife with STDs and full of boy racing dipshits with feral haircuts overnight.

It's always had those ... you clearly only spent time over the Bridge back in the day.

And it isn't cold there - it is wonderfully mild.

Sounds like you'd love Finland then. That's what a Finn might say (without the superlatives, probably).

I suspect the partner is reading these posts because Friday and the weekend were 👌. Makes a huge difference to me. We men are such simple creatures and rather easy to keep happy. It really makes no sense to me why this is such a big issue and being more intimate is considered hard. It’s certainly more fun than working or stressing over unimportant crap.

In that situation, I would suggest my partner is NOT reading these posts at all. If she had, the drought would only extend...

It’s just so ridiculous. What would it honestly cost her just to give you 2 minutes (if that😜) of her time a couple of times a week? How that gets twisted into you being the one at fault is one of the mysteries of the universe. But it seems many (most?) men have been there.

I'm not sure I have it in me anymore. Having said that, being desired is a powerful aphrodisiac, and as I've said before if Mrs CF was gagging for it 4 nights a week I'd happily turn in early to help facilitate that

Just saw this thread, and quite a good one I though. I have had a change, lived in Aus for 24 years, and as I was due to retire we came back home to NZ. Not a rushed decision as was always coming back, would of perhaps 5-10 years back but was getting to age where I was better to keep going with work etc until retirement. So in October I handed/gave my business over to fella who had been with me since I started and sold house and wife and I returned hame. We originally looked at Hawkes bay to live but couldn't find any houses we fancied where we wanted to live (Waipukurau), so after looking around Waiarapa etc we ended up in Taranaki (don't ask how, we from Levin) and after moving into house etc I can say I am enjoying every moment of my life. I have never been a gardener (who can be in Brisbane anyway) I have been mucking around in garden, generally enjoying living back in small town. Been down to Southern rugby club to have a look at trainings, so will be a supporter there. Get to see my siblings as I want, that are spread around North Island, see my adult daughter and grandkid s(also adult) at times, so actually at times I stop and pinch myself to make sure it all real. I even love driving around the roads as countryside here so beautiful. So in reply to how I am on happiness scale, at moment I right up there! hey and rugby has started so😁

Not intended to be a humblebrag, but it's gonna look like one...
I'm pretty sure the end of my last relationship started with her going down on me unexpectedly, and me kinda saying something like “WTF, give a man some warning”. I mean, her suckling on a shrivelled up cheerio, wasn't really a turn-on.
That devolved into some stupid argument, during which I came to the realisation “I just don't like you”, so that was that.

Of course - looking back... young, hot, nympho, single-child of very wealthy parents, and somehow into me despite me being well gone to seed.
Seems a silly decision, but... she simply wasn't a person I wanted to spend time with, other than the 30-seconds a day before sleepy times.
So, sex life back to Atacama Desert level drought.
