@nta yeah wife wasnt that keen to watch it, but our list of watching was a bit bare, but she enjoyed it too.

Been a wet and windy weekend here, so smashed S2 of Love, Death and Robots, some good eps, some not.

    THe animation is outstanding though!!

Coupling is the best sitcom ever, I often quote the pillow rant at home.

Watching it on Red-Red days in the Falklands in The Goose bar, drinking John Smiths with all the ATC lovelies - awesome!

It is quite re-watchable too. The funny moments are so good that you enjoy the anticipation of them. We have the whole series on DVD from back in the day and pre-streaming days it used to be a regular watch when there was nothing on terrestial TV

Was it Smack the Pony (skit comedy show) where the blonde one from Coupling got mostly naked (boobies at least) on occasion?

Snow In The Desert was pretty fucking good.

Not sure where all the "Strong Nudity" was supposed to be unless they meant a naked giant.

    Before We Die

    Before We Die (TV Series 2021– ) ⭐ 6.6 | Crime, Thriller

    Before We Die (TV Series 2021– ) ⭐ 6.6 | Crime, Thriller

    1h | TV-MA

Flying very much under the radar in the UK

Really well written and acted crime drama set in and around Bristol. Always good to see these type of shows set outside of London or Manchester.

Halfway through and it's racing along.

Watched an ep called Time, which is a BBC one with Sean Bean, a teacher who gets sent to prison for killing someone.

3 eps, bit of a slower one after ep one, but still engaging.

It's good, if bleak. Typical quality Jimmy McGovern* stuff. He certainly doesn't shy away from stuff. An engaging watch.
Very accurate on the inside stuff apparently and quite an eye opener to see how far behind modern practices the UK penal system is.

    *Cracker, The Lakes, Hillsborough....

    :::

Only thing that spoiled it for me was the premise used for the inmates to threaten the prison officer. That would have been well covered of as a security threat when his son went to prison.

    True Detective S02
Only got a couple of episodes in first time round, sound was shit, picture dark.

Rewatching and on to Episode 5 of 8

    Loving it

    It's better second time round.

One of the best things I've watched. Every series was terrific.

Mrs M and I are watching Endeavour - the Morse prequel - from the start.

Traditional British detective series with great acting, writing & pacing - and which makes you think a bit. Up there with the best things I've watched.

Roger Allam was great in that, but all the casting was spot on.

Yeah, he delivered one of the all-time great lines just before beating the living crap out out of a corrupt copper:

"What if I don't tell you, Friday?"

"Then I'll have to take my hat off...."

Ha! I remember that. As threats go it wasn’t too, well threatening but the outcome was impressive.

Yep. Well made. Looks like it's going to get a bit confusing to follow as he will be chasing himself. The whole multiverse/different timeline stuff can get convoluted.
If you like that stuff though and are a Marvel fan you will not only enjoy but probably find it necessary to follow where they were lining up the Wanda stuff and judging by the Dr Strange title.
