Coupling is the best sitcom ever, I often quote the pillow rant at home.
Watching it on Red-Red days in the Falklands in The Goose bar, drinking John Smiths with all the ATC lovelies - awesome!
It is quite re-watchable too. The funny moments are so good that you enjoy the anticipation of them. We have the whole series on DVD from back in the day and pre-streaming days it used to be a regular watch when there was nothing on terrestial TV
Was it Smack the Pony (skit comedy show) where the blonde one from Coupling got mostly naked (boobies at least) on occasion?
I don't know but I may have to find out

Before We Die
Flying very much under the radar in the UK
Really well written and acted crime drama set in and around Bristol. Always good to see these type of shows set outside of London or Manchester.
Halfway through and it's racing along.

Yeah we have it on our list but already seen the Swedish one!

Watched an ep called Time, which is a BBC one with Sean Bean, a teacher who gets sent to prison for killing someone.
3 eps, bit of a slower one after ep one, but still engaging.

It's good, if bleak. Typical quality Jimmy McGovern* stuff. He certainly doesn't shy away from stuff. An engaging watch.
Very accurate on the inside stuff apparently and quite an eye opener to see how far behind modern practices the UK penal system is.*Cracker, The Lakes, Hillsborough....
:::
Only thing that spoiled it for me was the premise used for the inmates to threaten the prison officer. That would have been well covered of as a security threat when his son went to prison.

One of the best things I've watched. Every series was terrific.

Mrs M and I are watching Endeavour - the Morse prequel - from the start.
Traditional British detective series with great acting, writing & pacing - and which makes you think a bit. Up there with the best things I've watched.

Great series

@victor-meldrew @Victor-Meldrew
Roger Allam was great in that, but all the casting was spot on.

Yeah, he delivered one of the all-time great lines just before beating the living crap out out of a corrupt copper:
"What if I don't tell you, Friday?"
"Then I'll have to take my hat off...."
-
Ha! I remember that. As threats go it wasn’t too, well threatening but the outcome was impressive.

Endeavour
Thaks for the info, the missus and I are big Morse fans, books and series. I'll have to search this one out.

anyone watch the first episode of Loki?

Yep. Well made. Looks like it's going to get a bit confusing to follow as he will be chasing himself. The whole multiverse/different timeline stuff can get convoluted.
If you like that stuff though and are a Marvel fan you will not only enjoy but probably find it necessary to follow where they were lining up the Wanda stuff and judging by the Dr Strange title. -

I really liked Coupling when I watched it originally, early 2000s.
I liked it enough that I torrented it about a decade ago pre-streaming services. To watch whole series (mostly watch again, but assume I missed a few episodes). But I found it was so bad, like cringingly bad. I think I probably only re-watched S1 E1.
So, was it just early episode roughness? Does it get better? Because I remember I had genuine LOL moments when I watched it originally. I thought maybe I had just 'out-grown' it

As opposed to above.
I re-watched all of IT Crowd once I got Netflix. Loved it. Along with Community the top 2 comedy series ever IMO (that I can think of). Maybe also with Young Ones, but I watched them so many times when I was younger that it no longer surprises me etc.
Edit, wait. And Spaced.
Community, Spaced, IT Crowd. Probably also Young Ones and Blackadder if your are youngish and never thrashed them.

I love both. Endeavour and Morse.
Endeavour more actually, as they develop Morse's personal side more.

In Infinitywar/Endgame there was the whole idea of millions of possible possible outcomes and the fact only one of them resulted in the "good guys" winning
this kind of suggested there is ONE official timeline and those dudes go and correct things if tings deviate from the official one...so does that mean regardless they would have and maybe did intervene to fix things
