@canes4life I was impressed he stayed as long as he did.

@mikey07 unfortunately didn’t kick on from a promising test start with the A.Bs and some solid form in 2016/17. Wish him all the best.

Shame, had always hoped for big things when he burst onto the scene.
But just seemed to slowly get worse, then became a liability with giving away penalties.

Wasps are making a habit of signing ex-All Black duds. Is there a quota at that club or something?

His debut against Argentina was fantastic, some real wrecking ball stuff with great pace too. What happened to that player ?

@canes4life I think having to change his game and move away from his natural game didn’t help, having to play structured didn’t suit him

The coaching staff should shoulder the blame for that. Trying to get him to play a tight game when he was dynamic running the outside channels. He was not even considered good enough to make the bench for the Hurricanes in the end which is saying something when the flagbearer for his position was R. Prinsep.

I think it's a great move. Learn some quite different styles of play earning his keep in a slog season for a few years. Come back and become the Kaino we'd hoped for a RWC cycle.

                          You heard it here first.

                          And nowhere else ever again.

Like you thinking, if he digs in and does the work he does have a hard edge to his play, I could see it eventuating.

@bones Yeah great thinking mate. Who knows, with the shortage of specialist 12s in the country, we may even see Francis Saili return to NZ rugby to potentially win his spot back in time for the 2023 world cup too....

If Francis saili plays 13 for nz then we’ve become second tier. Average.
