Movie review thread...

Civil war is available on the internet my friend tells me.

He also says it's way better than Avengers 2. The premise of course is a difficult one to pull off but they don't do a horrible job. Although if they had just introduced the twist from the beginning, it would have made it that much easier to buy. -
Christoph Waltz carries Inglorious Basterds. Without him it would be quite average. Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs are my top three.

I think Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender not to mention a few others here and there would strongly refute that.

CW is awesome though.
-

The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Watched it on the plane to Adelaide last week.

The film didn't get a lot of love by the looks of Wikipedia, and it certainly didn't appear on my radar except a brief mention Henry Cavill did on some late night talk show (Graham Norton?).

I thought it was very watchable. Straightforward spy movie for a Cold War era, with nukes, a smooth dude Westerner and fish-out-of-water Russian heavy. Not sure what everyone else was expecting, but I got the spy flick I was after without it taking itself too seriously.

And very, VERY Guy Ritchie. Great music, trademark camera work.

3 electrically fried German torturers out of 5.
-

Hmmm, NTA, you discuss U.N.C.L.E yet fail to mention the delectable Alicia Vikander who contributes 2 1/2 of the electrically fried German torturers to this film.

Cavill is better in this than as Superman.

Saw the angry birds movie. It's shit. Avoid

Yes

I see she is playing Lara Croft in a Tomb Raider re-boot... :good1:
-

The one playing the Kraut? She was OK I guess.

Sigh. Are we discussing this one

I prefer the top one. Look, I'll do them both - together - if that's the deal.

Not really enough skin to rate it on The Mariner Scale. But the top one got into the classy lingerie at one point, so she gets the choccies.

 You like the horsey one? Different strokes I guess.

Vikander is odd in that she doesn't photograph very well, but is stunning on film. I knew a girl like that who I met in Vietnam, stunner in person, show people photos of her and they'd be meh.

Anyway, movie review.

X Men Apocalypse. Better than I thought it would be. Could have done with trimming 20 odd minutes of running time. I give it 3 Olivia Munn's and half a Sansa Stark out of 5.
-

Based on the two pictures, I'd definitely go the brunette.

I can only assume... despite a shocking lack of judgement from her.... that Mrs NTA is not a headcase, because if you have ever been married to a headcase or have a mate who has been... you definitely dont a thing for them anymore.

My mate just divorced a hot bi polar chick... really depressing situation.
-

The Lion King. Now my 3 1/2 year olds favourite movie. Wants to watch it all the time. Still a very good watch despite its age, and quite emotional when old Mufasa dies. Great soundtrack.

definitely the less appealing 'bi' to go for in a woman
