Not sure how that works if the coach selects his own assistants actually. I know they do as Razor approached Tony Brown to stand as his assistant, but he declined. So as I say I not sure if the coach says this is who I want, or this is who I will have!

It amazes me though how some here hardly ever question this current coaching staff - anyone that knows their rugby properly can see where we are going wrong & can also see what adjustments need to be made to fix it.
We all know if your forwards get on top of the other sides forwards you basically control the whole game, we were shocking in the forwards against Ireland & France, especially in our poor execution of taking the ball up through the phases, whereas the other two teams forward packs did the hard yakka in that very crucial area of the game, so we spent most of our time on the back foot... even though our backs were getting a shite platform from the blokes up front it's mainly on our 9 & 10 to read the game well showing good decision making & execute accurately. -

This whole forum criticises the current set up. Maybe one or two have slightly defended him but not really. Your comment makes no sense in this environment.
Even the Waikato and Chiefs supporters are saying he shouldn't be there.

Those like @kiwi_expat are only focusing on the assistants as fozzie's contract has already been extended and the assistants are currently being reviewed
Theyre not going to sack fozzie until he's at least played more games

TBF, I haven't seen that. There's obvious disagreements on the root causes of the current problems and what should be done but I haven't seen anyone say everything is OK in the garden.

While many have pointed out the shit performances, quite a few also noted our glaring weaknesses are being more and more effectively exploited by other teams and the coaches don't know how to stem the bleeding. (IMHO). -

If the poster is arrogant in thinking they are one of these proper rugby experts, I can find you a forum full of similar self-justified opinions. Here.I'm quite happy people here defend Foster, as I struggle to see the good myself.
Changing the assistants, and bringing in an international coach, does suggest to me some in NZ rugby have similar misgivings. Or are all these changes the product of an agile, resourceful, Ian Foster mind?
