Hilary Barry day.

:puke:

I'm such a dope thinking she just got paid a lot of money to read an autocue and talk to people. My bad. Clearly she is also fucking Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman all rolled into one. (Richie McCaw probably doesn't exist, its just Hilary in a suit. Ditto Willie Apiata and all the cancer researchers and homicide detectives and everyone else who actually makes a fucking difference in the world.)

I haven't bothered clicking into any of the crap about her, but honestly, if this was Richie McCaw or any other sportsperson, the comments sections would be filled with hatred and bile saying 'they just play sports' but somehow, she is above all that?

Think I read somewhere she had a hand in writing a couple of Game of Thrones episodes, in fact I believe George R R gave her credit for 'Hordor - hold the door'

What's most depressing is that stories relating to her are currently in the Top 5 Most Read on both the Herald and Stuff.

Well the sad thing is that she truly IS a hero to so many fucken lame sadasses out there just like John Dickhead Campbell as I found out from my ill advised negative comment on Stuff last year. I'm assuming if there are any ferners out there who are like that they are doing the sensible thing and keeping their fingers off the keyboards.

I see in one of the ( many) articles that Paul Henry has "quite the do" planned. I don't think there'd be enough free piss in the world to make that tolerable to attend.

It just hasn't really sunk in yet. Doesn't feel real. I guess the next time I tune into 3 news and there is no Hilary it will really hit home. That won't be for a while though, as it's been years since I last watched the 6 o'clock news.

Anyone would be excused for thinking that a star with more fame than Prince and David Bowie combined had died.

Hows everyone else coping? Its almost been a day.

I spent most of last night on the couch remembering the good times, there were tears and laughter.

I'll be stronger for this I think, I'm in a good place now.

I hear you, it doesn't seem quite real and I'm dreading 6pm on monday rolling around.

I think we just have to be strong, the first few days are always the hardest. Obviously I won't be watching any US election coverage, just hearing the the name Hillary just triggers more waves of emotion.

JC, Jonah, David Bowie and Prince dying was nothing.

It's times like these you realize what real grief actually is. I'm so thankful I have you guys to help me through.

I think you're just in a state of denial to be honest . You need to grieve properly for the ending of the relationship , I find staring at a montage of photos of her with nothing compares to u plays in a loop to be very cathartic .
Let the emotion run through you TR , sure there's some tough days ahead for all of us but together we can support each other through this .

Hate to say it ... but any time anyone stumbles over words in our family they get called Ange.

It's kind of a bitter sweet tribute.
