There’s apparently been two big name drops along the way that may link to Rogue Squadron
That kid looking to escape with his mum via the fake Jedi was called Corran and the he name Valin Halcyon was written on the walls of the hut for the “path”
Valid Halcyon was also known as Hal Horn and his son Corran Horn was the force sensitive ace x-wing pilot in Rogue squadron.
More “legends” material coming into canon.

I've just watched Part V. Easily the best episode so far.

    So, so good.

    ##spoiler
A few continuity errors ( will rewatch to make sure ) as hordes of stormtroopers were gunned/sliced down but their bodies seemed to vanish as if it were a video game.

Loved the flashbacks with Annie/Obi Wan even if I am a bit depressed that a bloke younger than me ( Hayden Christensen ) needs to be digitally de aged.

So cool seeing Vader toying with the third sister but for fuck sake man, don’t pull the old “assume they’re dead” cliche when they’re clearly still fighting and breathing !

Killing the third sister made sense but there will obviously now be a twist after she heard the conversation between Obi-Wan and Bail Organa.

Were they really that de-aged? It looked to me like make-up only and I was quite pleased that a bad CGI wasn't done.
Great to see a decent lightsaber fight though.
Some real suspend all belief moments but that's par for the course, this isn't a reality show.

Well I'm glad my eyesight isn't what is used to be then. It didn't bother me.

For a TV show, the CGI is incredible. Spoiled by movie quality effects, so it stands out when it looks "bad". My son was hoping for a Clone Wars era flashback, so he was happy to see it. He's fully in the target demographic and loving it.

I'm having to explain that people complain for clicks, and if you enjoy something that's all that matters. There is no objective good/bad for art, just individual subjective opinion. The current online response to new shows (like some posts on this thread) are just toxic/gross.

Key to enjoy it for what it is, not what you think it should be (non of this is directed at you, btw).

Agree this was the best of the lot so far.

Watched it with my 8yo and straight after we watched Episode III again.

On the @Crucial and @Kirwan discussion:

    ##spoiler
I found it funny that the older McGregor looked younger in that scene than Christensen. It's almost like they ran out of CGI budget when getting to Christensen's cheeks.

it’s because Ewan has aged really well and was older in the prequels. Hayden has filled out in the face, thicker neck etc, so more to do to. 50 to 30 is easier than 40 to 19.

    Hyperdrive is quick eh.

I didn't like the Third Sister's arc, if this was her redemption. They should have just let DV kill her.

The planet has a blade runner/ SW Rebels feel to it. Not a bad watch, if not the swashbuckling fun fest that is Mando

Equal parts great fun and irritating I thought……

    ##spoiler
The DV clash was sensational but I find it hard to believe that Obi Wan just walked away…..AGAIN

I’m assuming DV has some sort of panel beaters to fix him up when he gets damaged which brings me to this point….

How did the third sister survive a lightsaber stab and then get to tattooine before Obi Wan ? Seriously, she was running around and fighting like nothing had happened ( although how Owen and Beru go from being tough enough to be taking on an inquisitor to getting executed by Storm Troopers is anyones guess ) What is with all these OP new characters ?

What happens to her now ? Would have made much more sense if DV actually killed her.

But yeah, very good series overall, terrific action and Ewen McGregor and even little Leia were fantastic. Loved the predictable Qui Gonn cameo too
