The NRL fraternity - commentators, ex players, journos - run the greatest protection racket in sport. Say and do basically anything and you will have plenty of people running interference or selling your âgoodâ qualities for you.

lol normally a terrible affair talking about trades etc, but foxsports "blog with hoops" session today was a funny read. James Hooper wrote the piece earlier making the statement, that Australia isn't China or Russia. Most fans let him and his media mates have both barrels today..quite an entertaining sledging session in general against the tone deaf media

just hearing Eli Katoa to the storm, I know the warriors were shopping him around but I am surprised at this one, as he was going beast mode in the cup and obviously not coaches favourite, but this will be one guy who will be very strong in a different system. Shame, but all the best if true

Listening to Kent tonight and there seems to be more than meets the eye with this and his opinion is if Sticky comes out and explains what happens all those years ago the public tide would turn in his favour.
No matter what happened and it could be serious and it sounds like family members etc, all you need to do in a media conference when asked a direct question about the incident is to say âI donât want to commentâ.

@antipodean Kent and Sticky are actually good mates, so whilst he talks smack most of the time I'm willing to listen in on this one. It looks like the NRL are trying to get ahead of it and will suspend him for a game regardless.

He's been chewing this shit over for years it seems and he's a bloody hair trigger at the best of times. From what I read he's got an axe to grind against the dad as well... no doubt more details will come emerge in usual NRL fashion.
