There's one coach with a worse record at the Chiefs than Fosterand that's our mate Wazza.

Never been more certain that the ABs are going to lose a test. I’m usually unreasonably optimistic.

I really hope they have another coach lined up.

I feel the same way. I've even thought we were going to win the last 3 matches going into them. Clearly I'm a functioning idiot.

Gats at the Chiefs may not have been a success, but I'd take him in a heartbeat over Foster. He knows how to win games at the top level, and gets teams up. You dno't get picked as a multi-Lions coach for nothing.

              @BerniesCorner

It has been so scattergun post 2019.

              Robertson overlooked for the gig.

Laumape got ran out of town.

Sowakula. Capped and scrapped. Jacobsen similar.

Ennor doing the Hokey Cokey in and out of squads to ride the pine.

Clarke goes off to 7's for a year and doesn't get a gig.

Papalii utilised on EOYT and played decent enough in Dublin. Not a look in this time.

RTS comes on against Ireland at 13. Played all year at 12.

Fainganuuku been sent to coventry already.

Still really know nothing about Vaii due to lack of meaningful minutes.

Karl T gets called in against the Irish with one foot out the exit door. Hailed as our "best scrummager" but doesn't get picked.

Samisoni dropped for 3rd test after playing well .

Will Jordan benched for the second test.

The whole thing is a dogs breakfast.

Nobody knows where they stand bar Cane, the Barretts, Ardie, Aaron and Whitelock.

@Steve That makes no sense. They can only start 15 and have 8 reserves in each match. Not many games to trial people in lately. France Ireland and South Africa are the weakest of our opponents in the past 7 matches. Maybe NZRU could have been kinder by having matches against lesser opponents or fielding an NZ XV during that sequence. But don't think the AB fans would take kindly to playing second xvs v leading nations like SA and France do.

Foster is a multi ABs coach (assistant, head, re-contracted head coach)...

It's certainly something that hasn't helped. Foster is hellbent on his plan (whatever it is) and is having to try and find the right players to implements while fronting up to the top sides in the world at the moment. You can see how other coaches must have struggled for a number of years when the show was on the other foot.
If the July games were against a team like Scotland I wonder if the ABs would have gelled better.

Foster doesn't even make sense anymore. He seems detached from reality. I hope it is a front for the media for his sake.

Yep, something is definitely out of character there. It's either that he knows he's gone and is highly unimpressed at that/the level of heat he's getting, or the pressure is taking a very big toll. I'm hoping for his sake that it's the former.

i really won't. Mitchell and Foster are fucking Waikato through and through. We are just forced to coexist with them for half the year.

Nothing the current lad is doing screams next level.

He's relying on our two best contenders having never coached the Chiefs. But if Clayton's rise continues, I'm sure past posts can be quietly erased πŸ™‚

Foster doesn't even make sense anymore. He seems detached from reality. I hope it is a front for the media for his sake.

To get a bigger payout on his contract by refusing to resign.
