Finished Bosch.
Reckon the final season moved along pretty rapidly as I have found previous years, while great writing, could drag in places.
Overall, pretty good series, and I guess the finale was fitting given, well Bosch!
Anyone seen the spinoff, think @Bovidae mentioned you were going to watch?

watched the first episode last night, different...will keep watching
Just finished episode 6 last night and wow, what a brilliant series (so far). Keep watching as it does get better and better.
One of the best comic book adaptations I can think of, which is amazing given how complex and dark the original comic book is.
I didn't read the original comics so this is interesting. I did enjoy the series, but I felt they could have taken some of the scenes further, eg could have been more graphic or adult in places?, but without seeing the comics I don't know how that would fit. To me, it just felt they were targeting the masses rather then making it more twisted which I assumed in my own head where some of this would/could go.

Bosch Legacy: Is a continuation of the story where if leaves off, but then follows Maddie more. If you liked the original you will like this as it is all the same characters. I quite enjoyed it, waiting for the next season after the "cliff hanger ending" lol
-
The Bear: FX remembered how confused everyone was by the title Terriers so have decided to repeat that by naming a show about a restaurant The Bear. Despite the title (much like Terriers) the show is really good.
Short 8 episode S1, most eps half an hour so an easy watch, but the finale is longer.

@taniwharugby I'm behind watching Bosch, but will catch up at some stage. Along with those other Amazon Prime shows.

Yeah it's great, also similar to Better Call Saul, the "old" characters make an occasional reappearance which is cool.

Both series are superb

It is very interesting that is for sure, if you just go for the ride. I thought the death episode was very interesting and well done. Only bugbear so far is the Ravens voice just seems off to me, almost comic like.

@MiketheSnow are you taking about the talentless flog known as Fred Durst from Limp Biskit?
I slightly recall some issues with Woodstock '99 but nothing about how bad it was. To me it went to two things:
- Generational differences.
- Greed of the promoters.
I still recommend watching it, Especially after the rampant failure here that was Splendour in the Grass.
IT's a really interesting documentary I thought. Shows exactly how you shouldn't plan a music festival.
I quite liked a lot of Nu Metal music at the time. And it's exactly what the docs is all about, it's ability to amp you up. It's just such a shame that it looks ike most of my fellow fans are literally the worst people in America. Loudmouth young male dickheads who think they are above the law.
Some of the stuff that went down is crazy though. Those promoters / producers are very lucky not be in jail for complete negligence.

Yeah a strange mix. Those embarrassing Nu Metal bands…..plus Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson and the insanely hot Jewel.

Hot D, a teaser more than an episode. If you can get past the smash the patriarchy & black Valyrians it is a decent start. Although I had to laugh at the director's "50% of mediaeval women died in chidlbirth' stat, the juxtaposition of the tourney and the Queen's labour was interesting. Because childbirth is the real battle.
Anyway disengaing any thought's in that manner, looking forward to more dragons and sword fights, TV that I would've given anything as a kid to see.

I have been finishing off watching the last episodes of Ozark this week.
##spoiler
This is a show I have talked up, but I was disappointed with the final episode. It seems to be very polarising too, you either liked it or hated it.The car crash was a big tease, other than proving it seems that the Byrdes can't die. In the end they will do anything to stay together and survive, which I guess was the point. I really wanted Wendy to die a horrible death.
##endspoilerI just finished it tonight.
##spoiler
I was gutted Wendy didn't die a horrible death too.Pretty annoyed they killed off Ruth but the foreshadowing early in the episode was obvious as fuck.
The final scene of black and the gunshots was actually a pretty decent way to end, aside from the rest of the episode. Not as bad as the finale of The Man in the High Castle though.
At any rate it was a very good series.

and the look on the guys face when he accepting Dream wasn't coming and then when he heard the pub was being closed and the thought that "dream" wouldn't know where to find him next time, really goodDo you think he owns the new pub as a way of Dream finding him?

Agree. Probably wouldn’t have started it if not for your recommendation but glad I did.
Probably has the most believably horrible character I have seen in a while. What a complete and utter prick. Instantly has you taking sides.BTW: also has Bono’s daughter in it. She is building quite a good resume.

What we do in the shadows still delivers.
Has a knack of pulling out a truly funny moment or line just before reaching peak silliness.I thought that the first episode of S4 wasn't as strong as previous opening episodes. Baby Colin Robinson giving the password for the credit card got a laugh out of me though.
