    @MajorRage it did occur to me at the time its "easier" for movies like avatar as almost nothing they are CGI'ing has a real world counterpart...you know what i mean?...there aren't floating mountains in the real world for people to compare too and go..."that dont look real!"....of course it doesn't...its a floating mountain....so yeah...much closer to a fully animated film....slightly more than shrek....but i agree with the main point

    Shrek
    https://collider.com/shrek-jeffrey-katzenberg-modern-3d-animation/
    Nearly had Chris Farley!
    And had major kiwi influence!
    Edit: this gives an idea of the commercial impact of Shrek and its sequels

    anyone who watched it in cinemas when it first came out and didn't think it was one of the most visually amazing things they had seen is a lying piece of shit.

    Watching it on TV some 13 years later and judging it is not giving the film its fair due.

    will i go see the 2nd one? i will absolutely not.

    I'm not a lying piece of shit and that's exactly what I thought. I didn't think the animation etc was much of a step above the likes of Shrek etc.

    I do acknowledge though that due to my various eyesight impairments, I've always struggled with 3D glasses which may have impacted it.

    And yes, the story is piss weak.

    Get the fck outta town!!!

    It wasn't that great, not realistic at all. I thought it was average, and that was on top of shit characters and a boring story

    @MiketheSnow Should be Dan Stevens!

    Having watched, and thoroughly enjoyed, The Suspect I'd like to see Aidan 'Poldark' Turner as Bond.

    He's got the acting chops and charisma in spades

    Needs a fucken haircut too. Bond is always immaculately groomed. It’s a hard no from me til that happens.

    Galaxy Quest 1999

    Just a banger from start to finish. The best Star Trek film - holds up well 23 years later. Laughs, emotion, sensational cast, great writing. Genius.
