Can anyone explain the first two paragraphs of this story ...

    https://www.msn.com/en-au/sport/nba/caitlyn-jenner-makes-political-move-against-transgender-athletes/ar-AA19tf0n?ocid=entnewsntp&cvid=d02265b8eec04389b9fe85399743ef90&ei=25

Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete and failed California gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner has been an adamant opponent of letting transgender athletes compete against people of the same sex.

Tuesday, she announced that he was launching a political action committee called “Fairness First” with a focus on keeping transgender athletes from competing against girls and women.

Second is a typo misgendering. First is the main point (sex being different from gender), biological males (sex) shouldn't be competing against biological females.

Is she not an opponent of letting transgender athletes (specifically trans identifying males) competing against people of the opposite sex.

What do these guys think is going to happen if they answer "adult human female"?

Are they genuinely that scared of <1% of their voting base?

He’s been trying to portray himself as “Chippy from the block “ a down to earth working class boy from the hutt who’s focused on bread and butter issues .
It only took one question to remind everyone he’s a career politician who’s completely immersed in politics and utterly out of touch with the general population.

Massive , massive own goal on his part .

Well if that is a working class boy from the Hutt is then they all must be pussies. Can I say that?

I am starting to get pretty adamant that biological sex needs to be taught front and centre to children.

In particular, that biological sexes are different in a number of significant ways, and are immutable.

Put simply, whichever gender you adopt your biological sex will be with you until your dying breath.

I have absolutely no problem with either sex identifying as either gender, and from time to time swapping between them.

But I think teenagers need to have rammed home to them that a biological man who has his penis removed will remain a biological man, even if he spends the rest of his life in the feminine gender. And vice versa.

The more I think about this the more trans gender surgery seems unnatural. Which tends to suggest it ought to be restricted to unusual circumstances.

    Oops?

@pakman whilst that would seem sensible the trans apologists would block and claim genocide because you want them to cease existing.

Sounds like we are facing something akin to the issues raised in 1984 and Fountainhead?!

@pakman 100%. I suggest we stop or remove funding for all gender affirming surgery and cross sex hormones immediately. US, UK, New Zealand etc. No more transes, no more transgender problems. Call me a transphobes but a lack of common sense has just gone far too far, and now it's affecting our kids

I caught some Ben Shapiro on YT. Not a fan of him, but pretty much agree with his ideas on this subject:

    • Human mammalian biology is immutable. A male cannot give birth. The existence of a minute number of intersex people does not prove people can change sex or be two sexes at once. No human being can self-reproduce.

    • There is a wide continuum of femininity and masculine characteristics in males and females (which presents in may ways) but that does not mean a man is a woman or a woman is a man.

    • Children and teenagers go thru hormonal changes and become confused about sex and their gender characteristics. This is normal. It is wrong and immoral to allow them to be subjected to life-changing treatment while they are not yet adults nor fully aware of their sexuality

    • Gender dysphoria is real, causes suffering and can result in self-harm and suicide. People suffering from it should be treated with respect, dignity, courtesy and helped as much as possible. If transitioning works, then all power to them - society should accommodate to the best of its ability while respecting the rights of others

    • We need to safeguard society from those using the problems of people impacted by gender dysphoria to deprive males and females of their rights as men and women

Whenever I see multi-national companies getting on to some idealistic bandwagon I am always reminded of this:
