Let's just look at situation and Razor 2 many unproven test level hand shakes ,and could tell the fern about my first meeting with Ryan , I just walked away

@Chris That's fine - but if so, he shouldn't be involved with the Crusaders. Massive conflict of interest for a guy to be involved with both.

He is on a part time assistant contact to assist Steve Hansen with defence.@Chris Yep, and I don't think that is a good thing at all. Razor is a marvellous coach, I rate him the best in the world, but the one thing that could hold him back, is an over-emphasis on Crusaders players.
Jason Ryan's forwards selections for the NZ XV last year (Namely Brewis and Lio-Willie) were very much with Crusaders tinted glasses on. I'd like to think with a couple of years away this won't be an issue, but you risk pissing off large groups of players who feel shut out as a result.

We will see, as Razor has mentioned McDonald and Holland will also have selection in put plus Wayne Smith in the background.Tamiti also will coach Wellington in the NPC.
I think it will be well rounded.
Just adding to that Razor's job is to win with the AB's, not where they come from and pissing players off who he thinks are not good enough but maybe they do think they are..

Yep as Foster said Ryan lead the way in those Forward selections.

He is on a part time assistant contact to assist Steve Hansen with defence.This is an odd set up if correct. Tamati is the Wellington head coach. His focus should be there (he's already an assistant with the Crusaders) not helping out an assistant with the ABs.
Key for Tamati now is to learn and prove himself as a head coach.

@george33 Because the proven test experience of Fozzie and Mcleod worked so well?
Ryan comes across extremely well in interviews and has already made positive strides in the ABs forwards.

The scrum and maul has continued to improve which is great, but I'm not quite convinced yet.
The flakiness is still there as we saw against England on the EOYT when we pretty much went to pieces. Get that last 5% headspace thing sorted out and we'll be good.

tough to shake off the bad habits of the past 4 or 5 years in a few months....
