So who next before AJ? Time for Whyte???

I still think its too soon for fight AJ for a title and he would be much better place in another 18months or so but I guess he needs to take the oportunity, even if he may not be ready

A mate pointed out an interesting point ,

Nearly all the top ranked fighters in the world who are considered more advanced than Joseph , are taller than him with a longer reach,

yet they have ( whether by choice or coincidence)hand picked fighters smaller than him

JP is 193cm in height and reach....forget Canes4Life bullshit, these stats are extremely accurate and fighters are weighed in before each fight as everyone knows. Some blokes his height are well over 200cm in reach so perhaps that will be telling as he doesn't appear to have the ferocious power that "short" fighters like Tyson, Tua, Marciano, Frazier etc had in abundance.

Its interesting how the heavyweight fighters have evolved into these tall fighters , current world champion Fury is 6 foot nine , in previous eras that wouldve been for basketball not boxing,

Dadid Haye of the top ranked fighters is considered small at 6 foot 3 , still a bit taller than Ali

But Tyson wasn't tall at 1.78 and in his prime I'd wager he'd hold his own against the overgrown contenders of today.

Tyson would , some of the others would too, that want my point so much , just the massive change in dimensions,

Tyson did say though, he thinks he would struggle to beat Klitsccko , with his ability to keep fighters of his size on the outside

That's a fine record, scanning the list of his fights in Wikipedia there doesn't seem to be too many "names" there ( although to be fair I'm no expert on todays fighters )

It's a good opponent for him at this stage of his career. Definitely the 2nd best opponent for him after Takam and should be able to get some rounds in without being troubled too much.

He posesses a goodish jab which should keep Parker's questionable defence but has a very slow right hand and doesn't have a lot of power. Was in a good battle with Pulev before being knocked to the canvas late on with a jab so his chin is also questionable.

Did anyone catch Golokvin vs Brook yesterday? Has to be a contender for fight of the year even though it only went 5 (action packed) rounds

@Godder shouldnt need a spoiler in this was live PPV event and no free to air replays scheduled other than the news.

What a farce tho. Expected much more than that!

Pretty obvious he was hoping for Parker to be DQ'd.. That guy is a joke.. That wasn't even a hard hit as he was walking away..

Can not see the Burger King boxer winning a world title fight against any of the main men in the division.
