    Assault on Hill 400

Stars: William Baldwin, Michael Madsen, Eric Roberts...

Haven't actually watched it yet. I'm trying to summon the strength to do so.

Jesus Christ. Is Gary Busey in it as well?

Saw a poster for this today. Pretty punchy tagline ...

    Probably won't see...

My boys tell me the original is shit.

They enjoyed Jaws heaps more which makes me quite proud actually. I thought it might be a bit slow and dated for them but they really rate it.

My experiences with my own boys have convinced me that it's not just nostalgia or me being chronically unhip. They genuinely made better and more entertaining films back in the day.

I assumed given the cast this was a relic from the 90s, no, it was released this year !

Aren’t those boys a bit old to be playing Soldiers ?

@Kiwiwomble I didn't check for credibility but now in doing so, you are probably correct...which is actually a good thing.

I’m fairly sure MJF has said he would never be in another BTTF movie.

….and ( sadly ) would he even be up to it ?

@MN5 might actually be one of those few film trilogies that is just left as that, all made at roughly the same time not decades apart...all of similar standard so....theyre great

Yeah like any great film series I wonder what became of certain characters…..

But while Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Alien, Terminator, Predator etc have released some good stuff lately on the whole it is not a patch on the originals we remember as kids.

I'd say it's just a matter of time before Back to the Future gets remade. I cringe to think about it. I'm just glad they haven't touched the Goonies yet. But I guess the idea of a bunch of kids voluntarily going outside and riding their bikes is a foreign concept these days.

The Goonies was so woke and ahead of its time. They had an Asian AND a fat kid in the group.

And girls that actually did stuff and weren't just there to be rescued. With the rise in Vampire films not so long ago I'm surprised they didn't remake the Lost Boys

It would be fabulous if movies had the same clause as music

As the songwriter you have the choice of whether the song is covered by another artist

You say no, and no one can cover it

You say yes and anyone can

There are actually sequels. They appear to be so horrible that thankfully nobody acknowledges their existence. God it's tragic what happened to Corey Haim.

Like everything around AI, the issue for me isn't that they are using AI instead of humans. It's if we are not told.

Well that and stupidity. I once struggled to convince a Sales Director in Singapore that we didn't actually have hobbits in NZ!

well they have them in Indonesia

Uncover the fascinating story of Homo floresiensis discovery and the implications it holds for human evolutionary origins.

It's the patter; bullshit claims of secrecy, avoidance of details, etc.

From personal experience, Lee sounds pretty normal to me.

My ex-FiL (WO1 in the REME) would talk about his military career pretty openly, but never, ever about his time in Oman in the early-70's. We only found out after his death he was involved with running transport for the Hereford folks.

PS: Niven's record is pretty well documented and he opened up about his war experiences just before he died. It was pretty horrific and the experiences haunted him all his life and that was the main reason he never talked about them.

and Michael Caine. When I read in detail his account I understood why he seldom talked about it but why his acting in Harry Brown felt so genuine.
