@MiketheSnow what were your thoughts on Kolbes forearm to Roigards head after he scored?

Didn’t see a replay of it

Came in to dislodge the ball IMHO

If he did hit him in the head then he should have been censured there and then

    Could well be cited

    Any clips?

@MiketheSnow i havent seen any, however it wasnt a major, but seemed decent contact and seems too many players dive on players, knees first, shoulder, arms or whatever in the act of scoring and are almost always ignored, totally pointless, Kolbe was never dislodging the ball.

Elsewhere on the field, pen for sure.

Barrets act was more boneheaded than filthy IMO.

      Agreed

      One of my pet peeves

      Borderline interpretation of Scooter

      The end result was dirty

        Haven't finished the game
        Haven't read the thread

I assume everyone is taking the advantage to blame this on Ian Foster

That's deluded. This is 100% an individual performance issue. The players let themselves down very fucking badly tonight. Very fucking badly. Dumb fucking penalties, missed tackles, missed ruck assignments, dropped balls. Have a look in the fucking mirror boys because you let your coaches down today.

@mariner4life I agree that it’s with the players, but the management are either coaching or allowing it to happen.

If the ABs do play the Boks in a knockout game - then in the days leading up Foster needs to front up to the media and go on the offensive about their players time wasting. And then Cane needs to get at the ref aggressively before the game has even started.

Nice guys will finish last in the next couple months.

@game_film The All Blacks need to rethink their media strategy and fast. It was utterly pathetic in the lead up to this game. So much to learn from Razzie Erasmus, Andy Farrell and Eddie Jones.

Hasn't been given anywhere near enough time in the saddle at 15.

Did we really need to see this much of Beaudy, Aaron Smith, Savea, Coles for example over the last two years?

4 years on from the last World Cup dual pivot debacle and we still have Beaudy at 15, ALB still floating around, a winger at 13, Aaron Smith being played into the ground. No back up locks. No one with any meaningful minutes at 8 other than Savea. Next cab off the rank is Sotutu and he was jettisoned. Then Sowakula and he was Jettisoned. No one with meaningful minutes at 7 this year other than Cane and we have had locks playing at 6 on and off until the last few matches.

DMAC is in, plays well then he is out. Samisoni is in, plays well, then he is out. Leicester is in , plays well and then he is out, Finau is in, plays well and then he is out.

Its doing them all a disservice.

I still don't know what to make of Jacobsen. I feel he hasn't had enough of a go.

He's displayed enough to show he isn't an option in the starting 6 jersey.

@taniwharugby yes boneheaded. No video evidence that the impact was head but cleaning out a guy on the ground is never a good look. But against that is I have never thought of Scott as dirty player. Just someone that hits hard, runs hard, has a huge motor, creates momentum with whatever he does. Sometimes in a contact sport played at high speed, it goes wrong. I think some of the the comments about players intelligence and intent on here miss the mark - but understandable when we lose πŸ˜€. Generally I would say there are very few dirty players or even dirty actions in todays game - the guys know each other. However, we do want all the players to improve technique and make good decisions so he will add that to the things he needs to work on. Still my favourite Barrett by some distance.

He hits more rucks, and looks to dominate in a contact sport better than anyone else in NZ. The reason he gets those is by the nature of the game - rucks and mauls where his job is to clean and dominate tackles. You cannot play tough in todays game and not get cards. Just wish the rest of our forward pack were as good.

Yep we need some hard hitting forwards not powder puffs, give me Barrett over Vai any day.
We will get muted in the WC if we don't stand up and be physical and hit hard back.

Bit of bad luck for Barrett pushed over for the 2nd yellow and the first a team yellow.
Still he has to be smarter to be fair.

                                Absolutely agree.
It's like they want to win the prize for the nicest team.
Fozzie and Sam - the noble losers.

For South Africa - their borderline offside defence.
For Ireland - their decoy runners causing obstruction.
For France - their hairy arm pit women.

A slim chance of banning any of those Bok forwards would be great!

@taniwharugby yes boneheaded. No video evidence that the impact was head but cleaning out a guy on the ground is never a good look. But against that is I have never thought of Scott as dirty player. Just someone that hits hard, runs hard, has a huge motor, creates momentum with whatever he does. Don’t think a father should show favouritism there Kev πŸ˜‰

A slim chance of banning any of those Bok forwards would be great!

Banning boots I think. How do you get a cut that deep that early in the game from a boot.

                                          I assume it was accidental.
