like with Perofeta in the first test...surprised to see him there (if hotham did make the squad).....but i hope he smashes it, would do may heart some good to come out of this series with a couple of options

I am not arguing that Bell and Hotham should be picked.
My disagreement is calling them "journeymen" and then advocating guys who at 29 and 24 are the embodiment of guys who have worked hard and risen quite a long way, but are never going to be long term prospects for the ABs, over young guys who may well be.

We get that your new coach is very good, and has a better game plan than the others. That doesn't suddenly mean all your players are superstars.

I'd prefer it if there wasn't a visible shot clock. The kickers have plenty of time
The reason you need a clock is because you are time wasting. You are either trying to prevent a kickoff, use up time during a card, or burn time at the end of the match because you are in front. All negative time wasting
Kiwis get all hot about time wasting in other areas of the game but not this one
Also, fans should criticise their player when they fuck up not the officials. It shouldn't be their job to hand hold you during time wasting. At most a ref should say "Hurry up"

Yeah nah.
This isn't the 1980s. They have massive screens these days. DMac has enough to worry about in his routine he should be able to have a visual cue rather than trying to guess in his head after getting an audible cue from a ref (be it 20 seconds or 10 seconds or whatever).
They have screens with countdowns in
MLB for pitchers and hitters, for Tennis and serving etcNeed to get with the times.

personally i would think it would be less distracting to kick it as quick as possibly after a 10 second warning than look up at a screen (arent always behind the posts) to check how much time you have, then re target etc....to each their own

pretty sure they do already, i believe the ref told him at 20 and 10 seconds, hell, they do in club rugby

Just remove all doubt and have a countdown on the screens.
It's also going to be on the broadcast which is helpful for the fans.

The ref is already aligned to the stadium. The ref nowadays waits for the hooter to go before blowing half time and full time. The ref waits for the 10 second countdown on the big screen before kicking off etc.

I would like to hear the view of kickers and their view. Players have set routines they go through.
I think the time wasting is taken care of with these time limits themselves - it was before the time limits were introduced that people were taking the piss.

and given currently they dont have a shot clock available so their routine cant/wont include looking at the clock
