@gt12 bring it on I say. Not the injury but him getting his opportunity. Two ways it could go in my view - he could be the next Kevin Senio or the next Jimmy Cowan.
I see similarities in Hotham’s game to both of these guys. One was a 50 test AB and the other played 3 or 4 minutes at the end of a Bledisloe match and that’s it.

I'd prefer it if there wasn't a visible shot clock. The kickers have plenty of time
The reason you need a clock is because you are time wasting. You are either trying to prevent a kickoff, use up time during a card, or burn time at the end of the match because you are in front. All negative time wasting
Kiwis get all hot about time wasting in other areas of the game but not this one
Also, fans should criticise their player when they fuck up not the officials. It shouldn't be their job to hand hold you during time wasting. At most a ref should say "Hurry up"

Yeah nah.
This isn't the 1980s. They have massive screens these days. DMac has enough to worry about in his routine he should be able to have a visual cue rather than trying to guess in his head after getting an audible cue from a ref (be it 20 seconds or 10 seconds or whatever).
They have screens with countdowns in
MLB for pitchers and hitters, for Tennis and serving etcNeed to get with the times.

personally i would think it would be less distracting to kick it as quick as possibly after a 10 second warning than look up at a screen (arent always behind the posts) to check how much time you have, then re target etc....to each their own

The ref is already aligned to the stadium. The ref nowadays waits for the hooter to go before blowing half time and full time. The ref waits for the 10 second countdown on the big screen before kicking off etc.

@KiwiMurph yeah much like everyone else I'm not that fussed, it just seems like a silly extra. We gonna put a 5 second clear clock up now too when the ball becomes available at the breakdown?
