Mayor of Kingstown
Almost finished the first season and really enjoying it. Do recommend if people are wondering whether it's worth the effort.
Billions
Just couldn't get into it.

Anyone else watched/watching The Bear? What the fuck is up with season 3? Gone from being bizarrely addictive in the first two seasons to fucking what the fuck.
Yeah, disappointing - I binged it on a 10hr flight recently, almost skipped sections of the historical character development. Coming into it I was wondering what direction they could take S3 - was always going to be hard, but I think they could have done much better.

most seasons of things I do binge, im struggling to get through this season, can only take a couple of episodes at a time
-
@bayimports I couldn't even do that (whole episode) for the first couple of episodes. Reckon I would've got a headache.

Dallas on steroids.
Yeah, a lot of violent and dangerous shit seems to happen at the ranch and I haven’t even finished season 1

Finally got around to watching the latest season of The Boys.
Was again pretty good, with their usual 'who the fuck thinks this shit up' scenes splattered about.
Did not end how I thought it would the way it was panning out, but was a good ending none the less.

it does get a bit soap opera like....but i really enjoy it, there are some genuinely interesting side stories and i really like the setting
-
@Kiwiwomble for me it was just Sons of Anarchy on a Ranch, think I only watched 1 season.
-
@taniwharugby and i would say S1 was the least dramatic too

Haha, I don't think I got through S1 before getting annoyed and giving up.
(No shade on anyone who likes it though).

Jeepers, looks like I’m in for a wild ride.
Almost through season 2, it’s complete and utter bullshit ( almost to Banshee like levels ) but still entertaining.

"Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War"
Interesting look at the nuclear age framed against Ukraine and starting with WW2 and Manhattan Project.
Some good historical stuff in there, as well as weird little links.
e.g. Joe McCarthy (Communist Hunter) had a lawyer on his side by the name of Roy Cohn. When Frederick Trump wanted to give Donald Trump a little bit of help in his real estate negotiating style, he called in Cohn to bring some Hardass to the boy. Ain't history funny?

Doco or drama?
Cohn was a piece of work, a gay man who went after the gay community during the Lavender Scare (part of the communist hunt). Died of AIDs.
