Stayed up and paid up and wasn't disappointed.
Seen far worse boxing PPVs, and to be fair the undercard was pretty underwhelming.
McGregor was game and gutsy with no little skill, especially for his first professional boxing match, but ultimately class & experience won out.
Would have been interesting to see if McGregor could have gotten back up off the canvas and fair to say that whilst he took plenty of great shots there wasn't much damage.
He was far more beat up in the first Diaz fight.
Whilst I know it's not Mayweather's MO and he obviously knew what he was doing tactically, I expected him to dismantle McGregor easier and sooner.
Boxing took a very big sigh of relief.
And the UFC came out very favourably too IMHO.

I read online somewhere that Floyd spent most of the evenings of the week leading up to the fight at the strippie. So I guess he wasn't taking it as seriously as he used to. It reminds me of the movie The Great White Hype

Floyd is a known night owl , always has been
spent most of his career in nightclubs leading up to fights , doesnt drink or smoke so he says its not a problem ,
trains late at night , sometimes as late as 3 in the morning and sleeps through the day ,

Complicitly orchestrated promo tour, talk of the massive money from the get go, massive amounts spent promoting, trash talk bordering on the scripted, massive money to both participants win or lose, a bout that every boxing authority said would end in a win to Mayweather (which did happen)
and after all that posturing and sharing aeroplanes...
after all that hype....
and then the actual fight lasts longer than a sensation but with the same universally predicted result
And the fight was fair????

Third option: Old guy who had only ONE official KO on his opponent in the last EIGHT years played cat & mouse with a novice. It was a dance. Cat stepped around ring to see what the mouse had, then upon discovering mouse had SFA that could hurt him toyed with mouse and got his first KO in six years. This fight was an over-hyped over-priced WWE-style contrived spectacle con-game manufactured to exploit and empty the wallets of half-brights.
