I wouldn't blame Jordie for leaving. His development seems to have stalled at the Canes. He definitely hasn't looked like AB quality this year.

How is that other lock rehabbing? Torn biceps or pec muscle? He was outstanding for the Canes last year and would be better than Scranton.

@broughie Are you talking about Sam Lousi ? he is going overseas at the end of the season.

@Chris Yes that is the guy. I think since coming to the canes he has made significant improvement and provided a lot of grunt to the pack. Had the ability to hold up guys in the tackle too.

Awesome effort Hugh Taylor (Wairoa College). I know nothinhg about this player but once again it just shows that you can get recognition if you are good enough no matter where you play.

Result of today's game:

Blues U18 20 - 10 Hurricanes U18

Coping with underfoot conditions reminiscent of Test Match Rugby at Murrayfield and a high-penalty count, proved too challenging for a spirited Hurricanes Under 18 team, who were defeated by the Blues Under 18 side by 20 points to 10, at Owen Delaney Park in Taupo today.

In a stop-start game played in windy and chilly conditions, the Blues took a 10 point to 3 lead into the half-time break. After 65 minutes the teams were locked at 10 all, but in the last 10 minutes the Blues scored a converted try and a penalty-kick (on the full-time whistle) to win the match.

For the Hurricanes, Treyah Kingi-Taukamo (St. Kentigern's College) kicked a penalty and conversion, with the team's solitary try scored by full-back, Rodderick Solo (Scots College).

So with BB off, who do we have for 1st5's?
Will we be able to do any last minute recruiting, I don't think there is anyone available.
Does that leave us with F Smith and JGB?
