I'm speculating part of it was he got the tap the other way, from Razor to say he wont be making the ABs. Didn't he have an article a couple of years back when he said he was only wanting to play for NZ?

@Crazy-Horse It hasn't been confirmed yet, but yeah, I totally agree with that. I'll be gutted if it's true.
If they'd swap him and Leo, then that would reasonably make up for it.
