      Hopefully an ALB-Goodhue midfield.

I'd like to see Mo'unga get a start. Don't think he a magic solution, but he needs some serious game-time with DMac and/or BB coming on as subs.

I'm really warming to the idea of BB at fullback, with BFA on the right wing. Not so much because I think Mo'unga has all the answers at 10 right now, but he's easily good enough and will continue to improve. That coupled with the fact that BB's skillset really suits fullback - very good under the high ball, decent kicking game, and pace to burn in space - makes me think we have far better balance to our backline with him there.

What I would select right now:
      TJP
      Mo'unga
      Rieko
      Crotty
      Goodhue
      BFA
      Beauden

      A Smith
      ALB
      DMac

On the halfbacks - I think TJP is more suited to the early exchanges, with A Smith coming on in the 2nd half to up the ante.

@no-quarter and as evidence for the prosecution, see his pathetic attempt to defend the English openside last weekend. Completely lost.

Lay off Beaudie. You'd be scared and confused if Shrek was running at you too.

Haha, yes, that was a shocker. I do recall Dagg putting in some pretty meek efforts at tackling on more than one occasion, yet was still regarded highly. Beauden's cover defense is usually pretty good, he's saved our bacon on a number of other occasions due to his speed.

@no-quarter only thing there is that you're losing Mounga being able to take advantage of Smith's distribution.

Dagg had some weaknesses but I can’t recall him being bamboozled like that. Dagg’s issue was more technique than anything else.

@act-crusader didn't someone go around him like he wasn't even there once? I'm thinking someone not known for their pace.

He was done like a dinner on numerous occasions. Once someone went through, that was it.

                      My take:

                      Karl T/Coles/Nepo/BBBR/Scott B/Papali'i/Fifita/Read/Nuggett/Mo'unga/ALB/Jack G/Rieko/Naholo/Giraffe

                      Bench -- Harris/Ofa/Angus T/Patty T/Ardie/TTT/BB/Laumape

Tough on ALB (as I'd really prefer him to be in the mix ahead of Crotty going forward) but I also suspect we will see a Laumape/Goodhue combo on the midfield.

Finding it difficult to get interested in this game ,

After last week , it kinda has that flat feeling like when you have lost the semi in the WC and you are playing the next week for 3rd spot.

I don't know about you guys but the last time I was this unexcited by an All Blacks test was the 2003 3rd/4th playoff.

The last three tests against Italy have all been pretty underwhelming in the lead up. Always the final or penultimate game of the tour, injury ravaged squads where the XV largely picks itself with no stakes (apart from not losing),

Comparing the EOYT with a four-course meal ...

                                    • The appetizer was good with some interesting new ingredients, but very light and not very filling. It tasted like more, much more.
                                    • The entrée was pretty good, albeit a bit chewy. It made me look forward to the main course.
                                    • That main course initially seemed interesting, but was ultimately not very tasty. The cook used great ingredients, but had chosen the wrong recipe and the execution of it was flawed; the meat was undercooked and the vegetables left a burnt aftertaste. Very disappointing.
                                    • Is that how I want dinner to end? Dissatisfied and with an unpleasant taste in my mouth? Absolutely not! Come on with that dessert and may the gelato be sweet; very sweet!

                                      • The appetizer was good with some interesting new ingredients, but very light and not very filling. It tasted like more, much more.
                                      • The entrée was pretty good, albeit a bit chewy. It made me look forward to the main course.

don't forget we started with pre-dinner drinks, where we all got to have our favourites, but no one had anything new.

This place isn't renowned for its dessert though, so i am not holding out hope

@mariner4life known for some decent alcohol, so we could just hang out at the bar after the meal!
