The thinking behind Goodhue at 12 for the Saders was that after we lost Crotty there wasn’t a natural successor.

It was one of those combo decisions where there were two potential options in Goodhue and Havili.

Havili was also the best fullback in the Saders squad.

Then add to the mix that Razor wanted Ennor to transition to the wing.

So you have a 10+ test All Black in Goodhue that has attributes to play 2nd 5 but will take some time.

I think it’s worth persisting with but it’s going to take time as we have seen for others that have transitioned from wing or centre to 2nd 5.

Jordie should have stayed in the Canterbury/Crusaders system, where he could have continued to play 2nd five and right about now he'd be a sort of SBW Mk II - a big, tall player, offloading all over the place, but not made of glass.

Instead, he's clogging up a wing, not going to be a first choice fullback until his brother loses his pace, and the Canes are not going to play him at 2nd five while he's their best fullback and they have Laumape.

Alternative is he can come to the Blues (as he's rumoured to be doing when his brother is back). We'll play him in the midfield if he wants.

      Yep.

Chances are that Leon will have graduated to the ABs coaching team by then, so there should be some clown in charge ready to play 12 Rieko; 13 Jordie. 🙂

His name is Ian and he will probably be looking for a job by then.

I actually thought SB played well, till he got tired and should have been subbed, but I can't bring myself to watch the game again to get another look.

I'd like to see Akira, Sotutu and a change in winger and coach 🙂

So, hopefully, this is a narrow ABs win with no bonus point - meaning the only game of the year i have tickets to isn't a fucken dead rubber.

I think Frizell gets the chop

TJ has to get dropped for lack of performance otherwise squad culture goes to shit

Jordie hasn’t been bad, but not great so Sevu should get a go.

We need decent tight heads, with Ofa gone we’re clutching at straws

Tuipolotu gets his last chance before getting dropped from the 23 for next year

@Hooroo I think Akira would be a bigger impact off the bench than Sotutu, also sotutu seems to shit himself at the end of the game so maybe let him play while pressure is off then take him off for Akira?

So, hopefully, this is a narrow ABs win with no bonus point - meaning the only game of the year i have tickets to isn't a fucken dead rubber.

I think another double-digit-margin Argie win with no bonus point would be infinitely more amusing. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
