Although you could argue that perhaps Foster could impose his own selection policy around "better people etc".

Geez Foster is amazing taking charge of so many roles normally done by NZRU and other staff. The attempts to rubbish him on things he is not really involved in staggers me. Shows how little fans understand.

Except they picked Sivivatu who hit his wife.

And others such as Lauaki who hit a security guard in 2006 and got diversion, then trashed a motel room, then committed DV (after his AB career).
More here including Moala, Nonu (booze), Savea, Weepu (disorderly), Stephen Bachop, and All Black 'X' (permanent suppression).

I know it old fashioned etc, but I was under the impression until you actually found guilty you were presumed innocent, maybe that was just before internet forums etc

Correct, but he has accepted diversion which you would only do if you think you would be found guilty in a trial. If you think you're guilty, then you probably are!

@machpants So does he have a conviction against him now? I not sure how diversion etc works.
