Foster, Robertson etc

Jason Ryan is contracted to Fiji until after the 2023 WC.
If true the NZR would have to buy him out of the contract. -

He might also want to stay loyal to Razor.
I don't think accepting the job of forwards coach for the ABs would be disloyal to anyone.
Do you think Robertson is the sort of person that would pressure on him? That would be gross.

@Duluth Why do you always take the negative approach? Why would there be pressure from Razor? They're very good mates. Ryan might opt to work with Razor only, just like Brown only wanted to work with Joseph.

I'm taking the positive approach. I don't think it's disloyal for a coach to accept a good job like that.
It's a weird word to use when you are talking about an AB position vs a SR job

@KiwiMurph ah cool, so defence all good then.
Our defence line wilting under minimal pressure since 2017.

I expect in the course of time Schmidt will be asked "for his input".
At least I hope so.

fan@ubuntu cd ../razor reboot
Que?
His username is "fan"
He has, for some bizarre reason, named his computer after an operating system.
And believes that if he issues the "reboot" command from within a certain directory, that'll change which version of the kernel is used after said reboot.
Clear? -

No Razor would pat him on the back and wish him well.

I agree. It'd be a big promotion and opportunity. I'm sure he'd be happy for him

@Stargazer It could also be seen as an olive branch to Razor

As a sign of recognising the great work being done at the Crusaders. Whilst Razor missed out in 2019 (presumably with Ryan in his coaching group and possibly Leon?) on the AB job that we aren't freezing you/your team out. Ryan has got some international experience since then with Fiji too - basically showing that his chances are higher with NZR than they were in 2019.

@KiwiMurph Was thinking the same thing.

@KiwiMurph yep, maybe he might also see this as too good an opportunity to knock back, even if Razor has said he is not interested right now, and if things go as most expect, would make Razors transition if he is still keen next year that bit easier
