I know it's hard to accept as he's had massive success for your mighty Crusaders in a competition that is equivalent to the Scottish Soccer Premiership in terms of quality, but he's had about 35 tests now and has not succeeded. Time to move on (which they obviously won't).

Richie's got a few blots on his copybook.
Perhaps the worst is his record against Ireland, where he's played 6 and lost 4.
Interestingly though, he came off the bench in five of those games and the most convincing victory was the only one he started - the RWC QF that we won.
I'm not sure he's that good coming off the bench.

Cron came in in an emergency situation before Test 1 only due to covid (Ryan was with Fiji for the Pacific Nations Cup)
Cron is helping coach the Black Ferns.

Look at the Chiefs forwards who will be in the plane to SA : they were immense in the semi final vs the Crusaders but looked completely lost in the 2nd and 3rd tests against Ireland. Look at the selection for the 2nd test with 3 "7s" in the back row. Tactically, it was a disaster. Defense is crap, attack is crap, even with front foot ball. Have you watched Ireland or France attacks ? Their backs come from deep, at top speed, with lots of decoys, while the NZ backs stand flat and motionless. I don't think all this could be fixed with Foster, Plumtree, Feek, Mooar and McLeod.
