@Snowy I did consider the inappropriateness of the word reek but decided to go for it as when the office smells of fried bacon but you cannot eat any it is an offensive smell.
As for your second point - seriously considered it, but then I would have to do some work.

Sorry to interrupt the bacon thread.
I wonder how much $$$ the wonderful Mrs Lomu asked for when she heard they were going to name a street after Jonah?
Did Jonah's brother play ? I never knew he ever had one !

"Speaking to the Herald, Nadene Lomu said it was an honour to have her husband acknowledged in such a way, but admitted he may have been somewhat embarrassed about it."
I think he would be far more embarrassed by the way you've carried on, you mercenary trashbag.

@taniwharugby I hate in equal measures FSOG for its fucked up portrayal of BDSM and that article for bedroom shaming. But also...WTF? you don't just choke someone out of the blue.
-
@taniwharugby Quite. Not a good strategy to get a second date.

Didn't work out too well for Michael Hutchence.
Or David Carradine. But they just choked themselves
I saw Kill Bill a couple of weeks back and Carradine was one of those 'is he still alive?' celebs.....thankfully Google confirmed what I didnt know. What an age we live in.....back in the day I woulda had to phone someone.

This is a crock of shit. The two songs are totally different, clearly the two judges that sided with the Gaye estate were deaf or just didn't listen to the music.
As for the videao, no need to thank me

I used to think the same but tbh if Got to give it up pops up on a playlist I have been caught out thinking wtf is Blurred Lines doing on this.
I don't think it is a copy, but i do think the influence is so strong that Pharrell was trying to do a very similar thing. Its more than just a coincidence, obvious from the original being quite unique and nothing else sounding remotely like it until this came along and sounded quite like it. I just think the 'homage' was pushed a bit too close.
Probably would have cost far less to use a sample and build around it.
Can see why they have fought the decision as well though

@crucial IIRC, it's just the groove that's the same, and not the melody. That opens a real can of worms ... There's a lot of people who took the beat and bassline from You Can't Hurry Love by The Supremes. e.g. The Jam.
Hollywood Steve did a good podcast episode on it:
