    Not sure where he will end up this year, we have just bought a keeper in Petrovik and sold Travers (which seems a really bad move), but it has meant that in these warm up games Paulsen has played with the main squad, even if off the bench

    @mariner4life

    if you've got zero chance of ever being first - now that's a bullshit competition

    if spurs and manu didn't get relegated last season they are never getting relegated

    i can remember when manu were in the second division - but that aint ever happening again

    kinda liked Norwich's realistic attitude the last couple of times they got promoted
    didn't change their team much
    gave the players who won the championship the reward of playing the big league PL teams
    gave the fans a nice fixture list for a season
    then fucked off back to the championship with a boat load of money
    nice work

    the way the system (FFP and all that) operates now, that's the responsible approach for the all the promoted teams

    @African-Monkey

    yeah the italian would be the most competitive of the big five west euro leagues

    the efl championship is also a competitive league, and if they took the parachute money out, it would be even more so

    the brazilian league is more competitive than the the west euro leagues
    yeah i follow the brazilian league as well
    both the finalists in the fifa world club championship were beaten by Rio clubs in that competition

    Good man, I always respect people for following leagues outside of the EPL. Serie A was always a favourite of mine, but it's harder to watch now that they don't show it on sky now.

    I might have to start watching some Wrexham games.

    All Whites star Liberato Cacace appears to be on the verge of a sensational move to Wrexham AFC, and the deal could be completed in Wellington. According to reports in Italy, Cacace has agreed to join the world-famous Welsh club owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac in a club-record transfer worth approximately $4.8 million.

    Bit disappointed to be honest, I thought Libby was doing pretty well for Empoli in Serie A and was hoping he'd get picked up by another top flight team post relegation, moving to the championship feels like a backwards step to me.

    The rationale might be Cacace thinks he has a better chance to be seen in the UK if the EPL is his aim. But the Championship is a grind.

    The cynic in me thinks this is a ratings move for the Wrexham show - it makes good content.

    Exciting England-Italy game in the women's Euros semis. England equalised six minutes into injury time after 90 minutes to take it to extra time. And they have just taken a lead with one minute of extra time left. Chloe Kelly had her penalty saved but scored on the rebound.

    England make the women's Euros final. Their third major final in a row. But after two rollercoaster games that went to extra time and getting out of jail twice, will they have enough left in the tank to defeat France or Spain in the final on Sunday?

    England women seem to be matching England men last year in finding a path to the Euro final. Not playing particularly well but scraping through.
    Mbeumo to Man U (71 million quid - not sure he is that good).
    Madueke to Arsenal (48.5 million quid - not sure if he will make the first team)
    Elanga to Newcastle (55 million quid - not sure he is that good)
    Kudus to Spurs (54.5 million quid - not sure he is that good)

    @KiwiPie To be fair the Mbeumo deal is actually 65 mill plus add ons. As a long suffering Man Utd fan quite surprised we’ve gone for him as we have Amad who can play as a 10 would rather we went for a keeper to be honest

    I have no frame of reference for the transfer market anymore. Is 50m even expensive?

    It looks like the Swedish Viktor Gyokëres is signing for Arsenal for £65 million from Sporting Lisbon.

    Spain dominating possession and chances against Germany, but it's still 0-0 after 80 minutes.

    Spain went through to the final after winning the Semi Final against Germany 1-0. They dominated possession for most of the match.

    Spain will be big favourites for the final against England on Sunday.
