We all expected at least two new faces, which will be at lock (Holland) and LH (I'd prefer Norris, but I think they choose Fusitua), so the only question is who else?
That's two sources sounding like Jim will get a go. I assume he's the third.
Some players have been with the squad before, such as Kirifi.

Discussion of Kirifi ahead of Papalii, suggesting that Paps may have reached his peak and they want to see someone else (is @chchfanatic actually Lashes?)
In this part, btw, it did seem that this was his analysis and not necessarily sauce.
Certainly an interesting discussion - but, some of it was definitely his analysis rather than things he's had confirmed by his sauces - who are presumably pretty good.
Main things I took as hard news:
Hoskins declined to attend the camp.
There will be at least three new caps. (Was it Mr. Mike who had the good oil for the ABs tailor? It was immensely reliable and apparently there's three guys been issued kit).
They're considering playing Rieko on the wing due to a bit of a paucity of good options.
What I take from this:
-
Hoskins is finished with the ABs. It's the "best of the rest" camp, so obviously some guys aren't going to make the final selection - but, if you have aspirations to play for the ABs you don't decline. Be very surprised if he's not signing offshore.
-
There's going to be a new loosehead prop (they name-check Fusitua and Numia - I think Norris is a good chance - though Casey doesn't mention him). There's probably going to be a new lock (I expect it will be Holland). There's going to be a new wing (replacing Tele'a). They're speculating on Carter (which maybe means he's not yet been issued kit?). If @chchfanatic is right maybe it's Timoci who's been measured for a uniform?

Just what the All Blacks need, a small slow winger.

@KiwiMurph think , we've got to take a step back , this lashes guy, is involved with the Barretts
No idea what show you are referring to, but Is that the brother-in-law?
Sam Casey is his real name.
He was the guy who was on the piss with Jordie in Dunedin when he was smashing late night maccas in the lounge of a random flat.
He is also the guy who pissed off Alice Soper by saying women's rugby is shit, and no one cares.
Used to run a Dunedin club page, was the producer of The Country, and will still have playing rugby contacts.

Yup. Had the hype videos back in 2015 and 2016. Pissed a lot of people off within landers circles after awhile

Not 100 per cent sure what you're saying @george33 but Naitoa Ah Kuoi's dad is a Ken.

Journalist reckons it's taken Robertson a year to realise it's his head on the chopping block if he doesn't succeed? Seriously?

No Fakatava?
That says a lot.
Glad Howden is in their sights, not sure he is there yet but he has the size and tools.

What a load of dribble by the so called Journalist.
I am pretty sure when you take over a HC role you know the buck stops with you. -

Yeah agreed, no issue with sabbaticals personally.
I've no issue with the idea and using it for those that have provided great value and years long service. Not happy if it is used in conjunction with automatic AB selection though.

Personally, I wonder if we should be a bit radical and look at a few sabbaticals for contracted players on the fringe on Test XXIII selection if the selectors think a spell overseas would round out/improve their game.
Costs would be kept low and players like Plummer wouldn't be lost.

Looks like Beaudy is already at the old man's farm and ready for team naming on Monday. Guessing will see him watching Coastal's game on Saturday.

@Steven-Harris Hoskins turned down, camp and said no, really,
-
@george33 Hoskins was in Tauranga at the camp. Flew down this morning, was back in Auckland by the afternoon.
It was a physical/medical check type of visit with the AB docs/trainers.
Make of that what you will@Nogusta pfft - I'm going with the outrage machine that suggested the Blues should be done with one of their best players.
In accordance with the Crusader media mafia.
