@nzzp Richie Mo'unga never worked out how to play against the rushed defence and I doubt he's done so in Japan.

Update: from the Breakdown. They are a bit disingenuous - sounds like these stats are 'any time played' not 'started at 10'. Still interestin.

Black definitely ought to have won at least one of the Bok tests last year, so DMac could easily be at 50-63% against them.

Barrett has started at 10 against Ireland on eight occasions and NZ have won three of those games.

Can't be bothered looking at all the others but clearly very disingenuous stats.

I would expect Barrett should have the highest winning percentage at 10, Mo'unga second and McKenzie third just based on NZ's relative dominance during each of the periods they occupied the jersey.

In terms of their actual performances, I'd say they're all relatively similar but Barrett has previously had the easiest ride.

Going to be interesting with mounga , I get the impression razor also thought Blackadder may have been the answer at 6 at international level until he saw it is different to super rugby.

I don’t have a problem with it being tried , just hope he isn’t putting all his eggs in one basket.

I don't want his man love to cloud his judgement any more than it already is. The fact that he has appeared to have moved on from Blackadder is promising. But he has already let one quality SR 10 leave, and favours one who is diminished over a guy who may not be the answer but is probably worth more of a punt than he's got to date

I am not so sure he has moved on from Blackadder. Someone suggested Blackadder has been quite unwell. If true, I'd imagine Razor would know that and that Blackadder will be off his usual game. It could be a case of taking the chance to look at others while Blackadder is down.

              That makes me unhappy.

Can't say I noticed him being off his usual game ...

Me neither, but he copped a bit after the first week of NPC when some thought he was a lot quieter than expected. That's when someone claimed he had been pretty sick.

An interesting gem that Justin Marshall picked up, I assume from the AB coaches, Reiko Ioane is the fastest player in the AB squad with Leroy Carter not far behind.

Fastest? He'd probably make a decent winger then

This has been known for quite a number of years. Nic Gill said this back when he was the trainer.

Either this info is out of date, the team is incredibly slow or Rieko is carrying an injury because 2025 Rieko is nowhere near as fast as 2017 Rieko.

                                  @pakman Him or Will Jordan.

Gill said on recent podcast that Will has great acceleration but top speed significantly less.

Looks like he's packed on a fair bit of upper body this year too, seemed to be lacking a bit of top end in SR.

An interesting gem that Justin Marshall picked up, I assume from the AB coaches, Reiko Ioane is the fastest player in the AB squad with Leroy Carter not far behind.

This has been known for quite a number of years. Nic Gill said this back when he was the trainer.

Nick Gill is still the trainer isn't he?

Either this info is out of date, the team is incredibly slow or Rieko is carrying an injury because 2025 Rieko is nowhere near as fast as 2017 Rieko.

Or, idk, he's just the fastest in the team.

                                      I covered that here:

                                      the team is incredibly slow

Seeing Rieko live vs France I was surprised at how much bigger he looked in the flesh and I agree, he certainly didn’t quite look like the speedster of 2017/18
