On Instagram he also bench pressed a ridiculous 185kg which is more than most Rugby players can manage.

Does that enhance his ability to hurl the ball in with pinpoint accuracy at breakneck speed from the wide long on boundary when there is a possibility of a runout?

With that sort of strength I'd assume every forward defensive nudge should go for six or at least four.

    Shit match

    Flat track bullies

They can only play whats in front of them.

Two losses when they should have won at least one of them.

    Two predictable minnow hammerings.

They will beat Wales in the Six Nations next year. Guarantee it.

    They should, they’re Tier 1 and we’re a minnow

9th in the world now, the Scots are certainly doing their bit to change that.

I think it reflects a pretty mediocre year overall for test cricket.

There are names there that I thought WTF but when you look at their figures it makes sense. Atkinson took 52 wickets at 22.15 in 9 matches. Henry 48 @ 18 Hazlewood 35 @ 13 but missed 40% of Aussies tests.

Ducket only averages 37 but what opener set the world alight last year. Not any Oz or Saffa.

Jadeja shades Lyon. Smith looks the tidiest keeper with a good batting record. Hazlewood is the only player that looks an obvious omission, but as I said maybe they figure he breaks too easily. Plus Aussie had a really soft programme. Pakistan Windies and India (minus Josh in the main) at home and two tests against us away.

Should be good. Southee retiring from test cricket after this series. I wonder if he got the nod, or if he just decided for himself. Looks covered in the other thread.

Random bit of trivia - kiwi umpire Steve Dunne was named to stand in two tests at his home ground, Carisbrook. Both were abandoned without a ball bowled (although the second was replaced with an unofficial one dayer).

For some reason, I feel like I came across that question before in quizzes haha.

One of our biggest problems of late is that Kane hasn't played much test cricket, and our standards and consistency across the whole team notably dropped away, leading to that loss against the bloody Bangles at home.

    @MN5 impressive at only 22.

I don’t know anyone of any age who can do that.

True that - an outlier's outlier.

    It’s definitely making sure I don’t miss a garage workout that’s for sure !

    Inspirational stuff.

    @barbarian Very funny.

If you guys would condescend and actually come and visit us for a test series that might look a little different. Last time was 2015?

You are also using @ACT-Crusader 's selection policy. Nice that the world number one batsman snuck in though.

It’s a tried and true policy.

There’s a lot to be said about this, stonewashed jeans….smoking looking cool…..mullets on players and fans alike……one of my favourite cricketers smacking a beautiful old school six..….( using old bats so much harder in those days )….

But the thing that gets me most is what the hell is holding that chicks bikini top in place at the start cos it certainly isn’t any tits that’s for sure.

Far from my favourite player but I think it has to be Turner. Average of 47 when there were no muppets.

Absolutely. I was watching an interview with John Wright on Sky earlier in the week and he says Turner and Crowe were far and away the best NZ batsmen he played with.

@African-Monkey Yes to Clive Rice. His first class stats at Notts are phenomenal.

Two posts within a month. That's solid going.

I'm managing to do something every single day. Keeping a vaguely regular schedule of......

    Monday - Dips/Push ups/calisthenics ( jump rope, light kettlebell, stair jumps )
Tuesday - Punching bag/sledgehammer swings ( tuesday is a good day as this is noisy pursuit and it pisses the girl off to no end but she is in the office all day that day )
    Wednesday - Heavy Kettlebells
Thursday - Chins ( either heavy weighted low reps or high reps with bodyweight ) a few curls too.
Friday - calisthenics/Legs ( weighted lunges usually depending on DOMS from Wednesday )
Saturday - catch up on whatever day I may have missed during the week or maybe a repeat
Sunday - Hill walk with the girl

At least three decent stretching sessions a week. Absolutely NO excuses with the working from home I'm doing at the moment.

My heavy "kettlebell" is actually a couple of 20kg plates with a metal handle through them. I'm Scottish, I don't like paying for expensive things. My light kettlebell is a 12kg kettlebell......which I got for free from a mate at a gym.

Less takeaways during the week which is good ( and even so I generally stuck to "good" takeaways like Sushi and Kebabs ) Loads of chicken and protein shakes.

Still a weakness for delicious home brew.

The quest continues but the some of the numbers are good.

that is a good bloody effort Rock, I'd love to be able to claim a training effect but think I'm just not great at push ups. We tend to add them in with bench press but rarely do we ever do a push up only workout.

A old uni mate would always start the day with 2-3 sets of push ups and sit ups - I think to failure or something. But he was pretty good at em!!

Koloamatangi will only be on the bench. I'd say he covers 6 and 7 after Boshier, with Cane the other option at 8.

Rennie has 2 options:

(1) the loose forwards that started vs the Crusaders (Seu, Cane, Sanders)

(2) the loose forwards that started vs the Reds (Sanders, Boshier, Cane)

I'd go with option 1 but that means Retallick and Bird will probably have to play the full 80.
