Draft day and LA is on the clock....money on Jared Goff being the first pick overall. Reminds me of Alex Smith so probably not a bad pick by LA (as long as they stick with the same coaching plan unlike San Francisco did).

@Chris B. Please note that on average a white South African has probably 15cm height advantage on their black & coloured counterparts. Dutch heritage my friend. Tall and strong.

@Frank. The current "quota" at Super rugby level is 35%. No idea what it is at Springbok level because they refuse to admit that it even exists but I'd imagine it will be about the same if not slightly more. It will be 50% by the time the 2019 World Cup comes around. Otherwise you won't see South Africa there. No way.

Eventual aim.... Same as country's demographics. They've made that clear plenty of times. If South Africa is 5% white and 5% cape coloured then that's the amount that should be in the Springbok squad.

An off night I can understand, but experience should tell you what you're doing wrong and how to fix it. Having a number of off nights just means you're not putting in enough practice.

The world should worry if that happens again; when Auckland rugby is strong, NZ rugby is strong....given we have been in a lull for a while

I think the Blues are just a hard team to coach because of their low rugby IQ. They are smash and bash and not much more. I mean the talk is always about the talent they have but that talent gets showed up by every other NZ franchise.

John Hardie has been going very well up here - he stands a very good chance of playing in New Zealand next year would you believe?

Nasi Manu has been crocked almost all season so we haven't seen too much of him at Edinburgh, Burleigh has been playing out of position at 10 because we thought it would be great to embark on a season without a fly half - we wouldn't want to make it too easy.

I would believe that - Hardie is a quality player and would not have let anyone down in black, he just happened to be behind about 5 other guys at the time. I always rated him very highly.

I remember for quite awhile Emile Ntamack was Frances "big" back but even then he was under 100kg. I think things have petered off now, I don't see the likes of Nadolo, Tuilagi, Banahan etc becoming the "norm".....after all guys still have to be reasonably nimble as well which was also Jonahs weakness at times.

That's what happens when you take a week off the Fern! Think with Hoeft's input he could be very handy for Chiefs.

I've been to Albany once. Was staying in One Tree Hill, and the ground was packed (Japan v France in the World Cup). We drove, and didn't have a problem getting in or out afterwards. Certainly no worse than any other ground i have been to. Travel time wasn't that bad from memory.
