I can’t say I’ve noticed how Parker defends. Assumed solid, and neither a thumper nor a scragger. @Bovidae?

A little bit of all of the above, to be honest. I wouldn't say he regularly puts in big hits but he has smashed a few ball-carriers in the past. He isn't the lightest on his feet (not without a bit of time to build monetum) which mean he sometimes has to scrag players who are going around him.

Power locks are not legions in NZ : IWL and PT are the only ones that come to my mind. Beehre is a grafter but not a powerful ball carrier. Gallagher has the physique but does not use it as he should do. Vakasiuola is a good prospect.

Huge congratulations to Codie Taylor on reaching 100 Tests. He's been around since 2015. He watched and learned from the great Dane Coles, worked damn hard and has now become perhaps the first name on the AB team sheet.

Can remember when he was regarded on here with Christie-like reverence.

Classic case of the Fern living up to it's motto

Feel free to actually include some context.

In 2022 Codie Taylor's form fell of a cliff. From memory there was some oil in here that he had some off the field issues he was working through

In 2022 Samisoni had a breakout year and really started putting pressure on

More recently Codie Taylor has hit a real purple patch of form and Samisoni's form has dropped away (though a highly promising display last week).

Bugger me. I only pointed out Taylor got some serious shit on here a few years back and is a classic example of the Fern motto. But as you want some context, the motto is.....,.....

You would have been much better served going with Vaai, rather than a clear and obvious example of Fozzie fucking up the obvious.

I recall that and IIRC the coaches persisted with Cody in an attempt to play him into form. With the benefit of hindsight I'm pleased they did because his form over the last few seasons has been phenomenal.

Yep seems sometimes the coaches actually know what they dealing with.
I recall the Taylor is useless, too old etc etc from quite a few at the time.
Players have slumps inform , it's a fact, not everyone is on top of their game all the time. I remember early in 2015 there were quite a number suggesting McCaw was a spent force too, and coaches were only picking him as he was favourite.

I’d put Will Jordan’s name down first but the rest is true. Amazing resurgence in form considering he looked cooked a few years back. Great effort to get the ton.

I know it is extremely unusual, but the fern was actually correct (perhaps not insightful because everyone knew he wasn't going well). Taylor was rightly called out here a few years back. That doesn't mean we can revise the history of his poor run of form and say that it didn't happen because he is good again now.

Anyway, awesome achievement to get to 100 tests.

He was, he had an awful run in around 2020-2022, he deserved to be called out for it and I thought he was finished then. He's come back well.

The three I missed were all front rowers which probably speaks volumes about how much I pay attention to them while watching.

No excuses for the AB backs not passing well.

I missed Mils, but assumed Conrad had made it.
