    Solutions:

    1. Bring in a recent ex-referee (ideally from the UK and Ireland) to work with the squad and explain to them clearly why certain actions are always going to result in a YC with a British or Irish ref.

    Berry is an Aussie

And a Martian would have ruled all three YCs the same way

Other than to appease the marketing men and to keep his other family members happy, why on earth are we persisting with Beauden Barrett in the All Blacks 10 jersey?

I can't remember the last time he played well in the 10 jersey for the ABs. Certainly not this year and not last year either.

Other options at First Five are available.

    @MiketheSnow

    I know.

And my point was I've seen a lot of go unpunished in Super games between two NZ Super sides with Kiwi refs.

Is it bad that I saw the Favourite Comedians thread title pop up, and instantly thought "Scott Robertson"....

Yes. The word "Favourite" was in the title.

    On the backs:
Beauden has to go, but I've resigned myself to the fact that he won't. He's been consistently outperformed by McKenzie and keeps being selected ahead of him. This is just one more incidence of that, why should we expect the response to be different this time? Love should be on the bench.
Ratima's kicking is crap, rest of his game is okay. That works okay-ish (if somewhat limiting) with McKenzie who can kick, but will not work with BB who can't. Roigard can kick, he is a requirement with Beauden and would take pressure of McKenzie to do everything, which would help him a lot too. We are too conservative. Fakatava should be in the squad when we have so many injuries, he might make mistakes but at least he can spark something.
Jordie has been rocks and diamonds all season - he's probably shown enough to be persisted with, but both Jim and Tupaea have had very good seasons.
Reece should go. He's too small, too slow, gets too excited and is too dumb and a card waiting to happen. I hope that he's only there because of Tangitau and Clarke being injured, but I doubt it.
Rieko has gone from looking like a wing playing centre to looking like a centre playing wing.
Proctor probably both the least deserving and the most likely to get the chop.

My backline assuming fitness for Boks
    9. Roigard (but will be Christie)
    10. Love
    11. Clarke
    12. Jordie.
13 Ioane (wing cover) stop gap 13
    14 Carter
    15. Jordan

Bench backs - Preston, Tupaea. DMac

    Beauden dropped, Proctor dropped.

    Jason Holland fired.

Love brings new chemistry and energy to a stale backline.

If squad rules don't allow more changes, secretly kneecap a couple of players to bring a semi fit Tangitau in.

For those advocating Carter (and to a lesser extent Narawa), they were the two Chiefs wingers who were part of their back 3 being badly outplayed in the air and losing the super final.

@Jet Too many cheerleaders and former players in the NZ media and not enough actual journalists.

That Breakdown show is a national disgrace and everyone involved in it should be ashamed. Utterly ashamed.

Week after week, a panel of uncritical, naive cheerleaders are wheeled out to compete about who can read out talking points their pals in the All Blacks coaching set up have given them in the most gormless manner.

Week after week, they talk up the current All Balcks as if they are a mixture between the Harlem Globetrotters and the 1924-5 Invincibles.

The Aotearoa Rugby pod is little better. The same with the NZ Rugby press.

It's high time the coaches and the senior player got used to a bit of criticism again.

    Morning.
Still frustrated about this. I'd taken the win for granted. We got wasted. Ref was fine.
Please Razor make the tough calls
    Roigard-DMac-Jordan-JB-Proctor-Clarke-Love just do it.
    Savea or Sititi(C)
Forwards are fine. Get SB firing on all cylinders.

If you're one of the assistant coaches responsible for picking 3 or 4 players, why stick your neck and pick young guys. Pick the experience so you don't get fired

Yep the Head Coach needs to be the Head Coach.

He's responsible for the team culture, strategy, the game plan and selection.

The buck stops with him. No more hiding behind the assistants.

The segment I hate most on the Breakdown this year is when they invite the New Zealand public to vote on who the All Blacks should pick.

And then their panel of insiders condescendingly mock the great unwashed for not having the same opinions as the "experts". Just awful. 🤮

He might have a few other issues but you can see why they at least wanted to have a look at Fihaki. He chases hard and his arial work with his size and athleticism is very good.
