At least that guy had played a number of games for the All Blacks. And he had a full bag of white bait.....

I see similarities between Christie and Beaver , a couple of maligned players , knocked for their skill level but I think it’s fair to say if we look for positives don’t lack ticker physically.

Watching Razor in press conferences is very interesting. I like his energy, he often makes an effort to engage positively with the person (with a a smile or a quip) who posed the question and he's so polite. He's kind of a breath of fresh air since so.many coaches can be grumpy and curt. The downside is sometimes he seems to get tripped up in what he is trying to say and he lacks the poise of say, Steve Hansen. I noticed the South African journalist who asked him about the Eden Park record really seemed to throw him off.

It seems like he would be better off taking questions with another coach alongside him or a NZR official with him to help navigate them .

@nonpartizan I do like him. He's energetic, enthusiastic, personable and charismatic

On the negative side he seems to think he's smarter than he is.....

Very good podcast with Jimmy Marshall interviewing Du Plessis Kirifi, the growth in Kirifi over the last couple of years is an example for many young kids to look up to. From a rat bag to one of the best leaders in the game. Definitely worth a listen.

Gut-feeling this test comes down to how the Barrett brothers go. If they don’t turn up, we are toast - and I think it is the beginning of the end for Beauden and Scott if they don’t

Mark Robinson is out the door in a few months. Things could get very interesting if it goes downhill - a new CEO who didn't appoint Razor + David Kirk who didn't appoint Razor....

Let's hope the new CEO doesn't get all possessive and undermine the coach as he wasn't his man.

Then again, if Robertson continues to under-perform....

According to people like Joe Schmidt & Gilbert Enoka he very much was.

"It was shambolic....Robbo had made it quite clear that he backed Razor. That’s who he wanted, it was a matter of time and whenever he could, he put the boot into us. The group never felt supported at all from the CEO. It was challenging and Foz .. bore the brunt of a lot of it. It was embarrassing really when you saw it, someone in that position and the lack of support they gave the head coach".

Not by the likes of Hansen, Enoka, Schmidt and Foster, no. If his departure opens the door to them coming back into the NZR fold, it will be a good thing.

Equally, with Robertson under pressure, it at least gives him some stability - which has to be a good thing.

Fuck foster is a whinging fluffybunny

You were under pressure because you were doing a shit job, not because of some rubbish conspiracy

Razor deserved his chance, but now also deserves the same scrutiny as the failure before him

Happy he dropped Reece, great crusader but he's never been a good all black,

                                Robertson is Mark Robinson's man.

I do think he has underperformed. And i was pretty certain that he was going to do very well in the role.

He may still do but he hasnt been the coach i thought he would be so far.

I suppose the question would be where do we turn? Robertson was the outstanding candidate from super and the obvious choice to progress.

                                Who is the obvious successor.

I dont think its going to be an issue for us though on saturday night.

Backs to the wall, stung by defeat, huge game, at eden park. Its all set for a big performance from the men in black

Because of the way NZR treated the last coaching setup, there's probably a limited pool. Robertson is probably safe for now.

Robertson was the outstanding candidate from super and the obvious choice to progress.

His fanbois in NZR convinced themselves a bloke with zero Test experience was the ideal head coach. We'll find out this Saturday if they still think it was a good move.

It's not Foster talking, whinging or pushing conspiracy theories - it's Gilbert Enoka, Aaron Smith, Joe Schmidt speaking out.

I doubt you'll see it from NZR if we lose on Saturday or lose the RC for a second year in a row - they are too invested in their choice.

Aaron Smith too? It might explain why the players were so supportive of Fozzie throughout his tenure

Is is undeniable that Razor is superlative in a play every week for 14 weeks, then have three weeks of knock out format.
However, the play every third week win [almost] every game current set up of ABs is very different in a number of significant aspects.
Is it any real surprise results to date are mixed?

Apologies, I though the quotes came from Foster's book.
                                          Where did they come from?

Anyway it's still my opinion that he deserved to be under pressure because of poor results..
