Here’s an idea. Why don’t we wait to see who performs well in Super and deserves selection?

Jokes aside, Super isn't Test. Similar, but success no longer necessarily transfers - they have quite different requirements.

People calling for Ruben Love and DMac to do X and Y.
You mean the guys who should've been in the 23 based on last couple of year's Super?
This is just rehashing shit from last year, which is my point.
McKenzie will obviously perform, and will likely battle Mo’unga. I’d like to see Love actually offer up some performances at 10 before we start putting him in the same conversations.

I saw him live in Hamilton vs France. He looked bloody impressive and I was surprised he didn't get more game time.
Super is one thing, but you'd hope players who perform at training an on the field in Tests get rewarded. He passed my 'eye' test for sure.

Love should be an experienced test player by now- who we know could step up and into the 10 jersey and bring confidence that he will perform... Unfortunately, we really don't know due to poor player management by the previous coaching team - a confusing lack of chances for him stalled his development - and getting him a test cap to his name by coming on a couple of times on the wing with 2min doesn't help anyone.
They way he was treated was very strange hopefully he gets opportunities this time round so he can gauged fairly -

Yeah did hear that... sounds childish for that level. We need to develop world class players not blacklist those that ask questions and challenge direction. Shows weakness in the coach. -

This is what I just came here to post as well. The latest on the rumour mill from my sources is it won’t be decided until March.
Starting to think I won’t post everything I hear as it’s just gone willy nilly. Eg throw enough shit at a wall and it’ll stick eventually.
What do they gain by waiting until March? I have no idea other than the Japan season may be over so could suit a Rennie announcement?

They could have made their choice but still be negotiating and sorting out contracts. They might want to do some internal communication first. Maybe they’re just giving themselves a couple of weeks to make sure everything’s in place before making an official announcement.

I'm not sure I'd want any current head 6N coach tbh.
Farrell had an initial craic but seems to have fallen away a bit, not a fan of Wales' Tandy-monium, Galthié would never fit in because he actually has dress sense, Borthwick's a bit slow on the innovation front, Townsend isn't too bad, but the word Quesada always makes me feel hungry. -

I had four thoughts about the Mid-March being both the likely All Blacks Coaching announcement and the end of the Six Nations.

Warren Gatland was working World Rugby on a short-term consultancy with referees. I've no idea if that has already ended, but it might run until the end of the 6 Nations?

NZR are known to be admirers of Shaun Edwards. Again I've no idea if he's tied to France until after the 2027 World Cup, but he's definitely going to be committed to them until the end of an ongoing tournament. Is he going to be the All Blacks new Defence Coach?

Yes - I have it on great authority from some guy on the internet who wrote - in not so many words - that Hanson announced at a team meeting that Ruben Love was blacklisted and would never play for the All Blacks again.
And he never did - except against Wales in the last game when he started at fullback.
