Cane was awesome today. He even showed great hands with that scoop off the deck, obviously he's been reading the Fern like every AB player, current or potential, should be doing.

Anyone who understands that there are levels between domestic and international rugby could tell you that Cane is a quality operator.

I think Akira might have suited this game better, he can generate momentum from almost stationary probably better than most in NZ and that seemed to be our game plan this week,

Cane did play well, to be fair. But so may have Savea. And Cane REALLY needed to put in a performance as I'm sure he'll realise he's not everyone's choice.

Yeah we could go there, although it did take your boy McCaw a few years to get up to speed as captain so Cane has time.
