Agree with the sentiment, but get the heck outta this thread with that levity. This is a serious thread for polish chicks and kiwi blokes to talk about burning meat and shit over really long amounts of time while ignoring their families and kids.

I'm so glad you made the distinction.

On holiday I cooked a spatchcocked chicken marinated overnight in chimichurri on a weber Q. Tasted amazing, will definitely get one over coals at home

Glut of sweetcorn around at the moment. Perfect for the bbq or for making your own creamed corn to go with whatever meat you have cooked. Trick is to grate the corn off the cob and get all the milky juices.

Anyone know the recipe for mock whitebait fritters — uses grated potatoes instead?

    I’d suggest googling potato fritters?

Cheers, @Bones! Haven't had those for years and years. At my grandparents we always used to compete to see who could eat most!

Things like that leave me confused about whether to laugh or snort in derision. My favourite?

On a restaurant menu: Chicken Caesar Salad. The classic caesar salad with the tasty addition of grilled chicken. Available without chicken.
