3-4 years waiting for trans healthcare access - a lot of trans people in the UK wish there was more press on the real issues like this. Well worth a read imo.
Totally agree. It's completely wrong that the NHS prioritises Cancer, Heart disease over the wants of trans people. Absolutely disgusting.

Enjoyed the special, and as is pointed out in any of the reviews of it is that the target is trans people, it's white people. Yet, I'm not offended, if you are going to be racist at least be funny.
Which he is.
Anyway, the above articly, by a prominent left wing gay man is showing the left is starting to eat itself over there. Hopefully we swing back towards scientific realities.
Makes me wonder how many strident pro-vaccination social justicice warriors block their ears when they the trans subject comes up.
(and before anyone willfully misunderstands that last point, my second jab is next week).

@Kirwan this quote - “Too often in The Closer, it just sounds like Chappelle is using white privilege to excuse his own homophobia and transphobia.”
Holy fucking shit, where do people get off making statements like that.
The special was good, not as funny as the last one but for obvious reasons (won't spoil it), but I thought the way he talked about his trans friend as a human first was really powerful.

LMAO. Not simply beating national records. Destroying them.
“ "That was so easy, I was cruising," Lia Thomas allegedly said. “

Is that all legitimate?
That's incredible if so! Well done her for being born so naturally better than all the rest of those competitors.
One line I especially like was the comment that Trans shouldn't be marginalised but in becoming trans, biological women should then become marginalised because of them.
I know we live in a different time and that finally women have much better rights that they used to and equal opportunities etc, but it must seem to them that men are trying to infiltrate them to take the equality away

The feminists who fought so hard for title IX must be absolutely loving it. This issue makes for some interesting guests on Tucker Carlson.

“Akron was an absolute beatdown by Thomas, but it wasn’t without disgust from fans who were in the building watching meet, pool, and school records drop one after the other.
"Usually everyone claps, everyone is yelling and cheering when someone wins a race. Lia touched the wall and it was just silent in there," OutKick’s source said during a phone interview.
"When [Penn swimmer] Anna [Kalandadze] finished second, the crowd erupted in applause."

You're a copy and paste champion at the moment, aye!

I do recall Greenwald discussing this with Martina Navratilova several years ago.

Chalk the herald up as woke. Clear hatchet job on Rowling here.
Who most ppl agree with.
A little under the weather but shall try and read in the a.m. when can see straight
But I suspect the gist is that along the "anyone who queries trans opinion is evil" dogma?

The "case" against J K Rowling seems to be her view that a person can't determine their biological sex. Which is an utterly repugnant, hateful view according to some. In the real world she is, of course, right.
Sam, a 32-year-old man, was brought to the emergency department by his boyfriend. Sam reported an 8-hour history of severe (8 out of 10), intermittent lower abdominal pain. In triage, he had a blood pressure of 185/84 mm Hg and a heart rate of 67 beats per minute. The triage nurse noted that he was an obese man who appeared comfortable between bouts of pain. Sam told the nurse that he was a transgender man. His electronic medical record (EMR) indicated that he was male. ----Bedside ultrasonography was performed, confirming an advanced pregnancy with unclear presence of fetal cardiac activity. Sam was rapidly counseled regarding the findings and the need for an emergency caesarean delivery. He consented and was transferred to the operating room for further evaluation. In the operating room, no fetal heartbeat could be detected on ultrasound. Given the fetal death, Sam was transferred to a delivery suite where, moments later, he delivered a stillborn baby.

Actually wasn't as bad as I thought. A couple of comments suggest how readers should feel.
I keep reading what she has written and tweeted and I just can't see anything I disagree with.

Isnt the bigger point here, that it simply doesn't matter if people agree or disagree with what she says and thinks? Surely she has the right to her opinion, and cancelling her because a few or the majority disagree with that opinion, is just wrong in a liberal society.

No the problem is that some, including the main cast, deem her comments as anti-trans & therefore transphobic which is unacceptable.
It’s insane. The cast can piss right off. All of them are nothing without her. Millions can act. One one person has written HP.
Transgender debate, in sport, in general
