If the Ioane brothers play this weekend, I'd like to see a bunch of aggressive, dickhead, grub play. Head rubs, insults, shoving players, elbows leaning in to players on the ground, getting stuck in and being the biggest dicks they can be. Take it to them in all ways.

Nah they don’t do that anymore. They got rid of that when they stopped playing video games…

Dalton was the best 7 in NZ in SR, yet his brief moments in black this year, to me show how the environment is affecting people.

James Parsons made some interesting comments in the podcast this week. He's been there and knows how it works... less vanilla than The Breakdown boys. Talked about how when one part of the game plan isn't functioning... It affects the rest of the game plan. Then the confidence goes.. and it's a spiral effect.. talked about how the Crusaders are so well drilled... everyone knows their job.. and is damn confident doing it! But that takes time... and a good coaching system.

The last Breakdown episode was the closest anyone from the panel stated Foster needs to go. Mils looked dejected, Isa is more direct in his responses but both in alluded without stating it, Foster is done.

James Parsons finally came to reason Fozzie is done. Ross was absolutely seething. You could see the steam emitting from his ears.

(with the exception of Jason Ryan who has just got there and already made some improvements).

Really? You're not arguing a change in the coaching staff has brought rapid improvements, are you?

I've been told no-one was saying that... :fishing_pole:

I'll just copy and paste my reply from the other thread on rapid improvements and Ryan

Depends what you are talking about. Something like a lineout you can see improvement pretty quickly with organisation and practice (and selecting the right hooker....)

I'm not saying that pace of improvement is realistic for all aspects of play.

However it does show the impact coaching can have

Practising leg drive I see. Hope to actually see some in the game.

Are the two Sams telegraphing a pop pass close to the ruck?

@pakman think they are gonna run a NZ-Wide poll about who to select.

Passing? What fresh new hell of a tactic is this thing you call passing?
Not seen much in the forwards loosies or at 10 or midfield so could have the element of surprise..

In order to strengthen the forwards cohesion, why not try established combinations ? This means the Chiefs front row (Ross - Taukeiaho - Ta'avao with the Crusaders front row on the bench Bower - Taylor - Newell) + the Crusaders locks (Barrett - Whitelock with Va'ai on the bench) + the Blues loose forwards (Ioane - Papalii - Sotutu with Savea on the bench) ? It has zero chance to happen though.

Carry that through and you end up with 9-13 being Blues.

                                      and Frizzell does?

I am not yet 100% convinced Ioane is the answer at 6

But i am convinced by the absolute mountain of evidence that Frizzell isn't

Hunch that Frizell will get 6.

Sadly I expect this to be the case. This might be my breaking point with this team. 😉

He creates points though. Even if it is both ways.
Some may not like the truth but Akira doesn’t cut it. Reaction time too slow at this level.

Why on earth would you claim Akira doesn't cut it when discussing Frizzell coming in? He got points as he was a fresh replacement able to keep up with the attack. In the last Irish test Akira created points out of strength and speed.

It has zero chance to happen though.

                                          i get the idea but

The problems are not that they aren't used to playing together, it's that they aren't used to playing this way together. We're gonna have the same problems with different faces. You aren't picking the Blues loosies to play like the Blues loosies, you are picking 3 guys who play at the Blues to be the AB loosies.
